Throttle body cleaning & maintenance

Hi,

I see this thread dating back to 17 years from now. Question to all the learned BHPians:

What is the frequency for cleaning the throttle body (both in Kms and years) of a turbocharged engine? I have 1 Ltr TSI engine (Skoda Rapid) 4 yrs old and clocked 24k Kms as of now.
Should I not touch the throttle body at all unless it poses issues (viz. rough idling etc.) or preventive maintenance at fixed intervals is good?
What kind of cleaners are good? Petrol or branded (like 3M)?
Adaptation of throttle body should be done only through the diagnostic tools or can be done without that too (I've seen many on Youtube)

Do let me know on the above.
