These cars look just invincible. Would be exciting to drive. Though all those toggle switches would drive me crazy. Early Ambys used to have three or four switches and I used to pull the choke when I wanted to switch the wipers on.

Really nice pictures. gives an idea of the volume of work in designing & implementing a proper roll cage.

I saw that program where they were showin the building of this wrc subaru. THe thing that struck me th emost was the price. I normal subaru was arount 38k euros but the wrc subaru would cost around 630k euros. that is massive difference for the cars which look quite similar to inexperienced eye. They also showed off the stock and wrc ready cars doing laps on a rally circuit. wrc car finished 11 secs quicker than the stock one. Now that was a difference which i'd rather be 11 secs slower than be extra 600k euros poorer....
