Swift DZire-problems

guys
My 1 month old DZire has the following problems
1.strange noise from backside(left) when ever the car passes through a pot hole.i am not sure whether this is a common sound as I have not observed this from right side.the sound is like ""khatak""/bouncing sound
since i am driving it always,i m not sure whether this will also happen when the car is fully loaded?
2.i have observed that the speedo takes time to reach 0,and also rise from 0.
what can be done for the above problems,my first service is due and maybe this weekend i ll be getting it done.

please advise for the above problems

thanks in advance

Have you checked your rear seat belt ? The sound can be the buckle hitting the body.

On the noise does the sound come only when the car is fully loaded? noise might be from the back seat also...

ABout the speedo are you talking about the cold start? if yes this is very normal..

the noise comes only when there is single person driving.i m not sure about the noise if the car is fully loaded.
the speedo is behaving like this from day 1.takes time to reach 0 even if i have stopped 2 secs before.

@eddy::i ll check the seat belts i dont think it is from seat belt .it is a hard bouncing sound

Well it's a remote possibility but tell them to check the rear suspension.

One test is load the boot with some weight...say 30 to 40 kg ....or take 4 people with you for a ride on a road with speedbreakers. If its not present then the suspension should be culprit and may need some adjustments.

The bouncing back happens in case when the rear suspension do not absorb the complete bounce.

Other way is try to push the car sideway, see if you still get 'khat khat' or squeaking sound.

The belt thing can be checked by buckling the seat belts so they dont hit anywhere.

Just check whether your spare tire is not fitted properly. Also check whether your tool box is not fitted properly.

Maintain tyre pressures as recommended even if there is driver only drives. With less or no load the rear suspension may be throwing tantrums. try to get some two persons seated on your backseat and observe if the same sound is emitted.

The sound seems to be a suspension component gotten loose. I hear the monsoons have played havoc on Delhi's roads.

Standard feature of some other cars too, including some Mercs.
