Swift Vxi Idling Problem

Since 2 days I have noticed a very wiered behaviour with my car. With AC on the RPM goes up to 1500 in idling condition it comes down to 850 and again goes back to 1500 immediately. This keeps on happening till the vehicle is idling.

With AC switched off, the RPM goes up to 1200 RPM (hot engine) and then dropps to around 400 RPM. Engine starts vibrating a lot and I have to press the gas peddal to keep the car running.

Need some help on this problem from the Gurus. What could be the issue. Is it an ECU failure? I showed it to MASS today they are telling it is some problem with the Butterfly in Trottel Body and some problem with the Injectors. I am not satisfied with their answer.

Also they want me to pay for cleaning the same even thouth the car is in warranty.

Please help me guys.

Re: Swift Vxi Idling Problem

If the injectors functioning are in doubt then first attempt try out System G (for Petrol) available at Bharat Petroleum bunks. To a large extend, extensive noise, idle behaviour etc have improved for many who have used the System G, including me (on my Honda City though). I would suggest try that out first (usually effect will be visible in the first 100 KM of usage), before heading to servicing centers

Cheers

Re: Swift Vxi Idling Problem

How old is your car. How much kms done. How is the car under normal conditions, i mean in motion, in gears.

If its smooth then injectors are out of question. check the air sensor and its related wiring.
