I touched 145 yesterday. I realise that there are some rough edges to the car (Some noise/ vibration felt) between 110 to 125...after 130+ it became smooth again...was it really the roads or something to do with my wheel / suspension combo?? Any comments

have you guys been cutting lanes at such speeds in the baleno ? i wasnt feeling too confident doing so in a baleno ..
Not that i'm really one to preach about the whole safe driving concept!~!!!!!!!

But cutting lanes on our grand roads at any speed like that is any car is a ****ty proposition!!! Unless you mean changing lanes gently-

Well i've done that on the baleno at 150/160, no problem really

What are the mods on that.
Didnt know the Baleno was capable of an easy 200
I felt the gearing was too short on 4th & 5th on the Baleno,
my only grouse. Of course that helps greatly in the city, but is a handicap on the highway

really wish it was a taller 5th, would greatly help long range Fe as well, and improve cruisin speeds.

Buffetfan, not too much experience of that really, but then again, ive never really hung around the 115 range,
its either been 100 or 140 !!!.
But no i havent had those vibrations

Hi Guys,

I finally found the problem, it was the roads. Yesterday as I hit the NHAI roads, I was going very steady at 140 without feeling any lightness or levitation. Iceman took it to 160+ and without any problem. Only problem he faced was the bodyroll in the curves while doing 150+.

I feel this topic can be closed now, thanks for all the suggestions and help.

Man this is scary! The only other things flying like this are the powerboats. Wonder how fast was the car going when this happened. Two full flips! :shudder:

This video is pretty old , remember seeing it a long while back .. Also this certainly isnt the 1st incident of such kind in LeMans .. There have been innumerable such circumstances time and time again .. Dont worry rehaan , none of the balenos would be capable of hitting such high speeds ... However i do get scared for psycho though ??

I have done around 175kmph (speedo) followed by a quick lane change and the car was glued to the ground.

BTW, the problem doesn't exist now, has not happened for nearly a year. I guess it was the road and the cross wind combination.

Kindly search under modification section.

This is an old topic about a problem that doesn't exist anymore, there is no need to go off-topic now. Closing thread.
