Re: Bangalore : Please suggest a Good Workshop to repair A/C

Hello Friends,

I own a 2014 K series Wagon R, I had cooling related issues, searched Google found Ayyappa Car AC services in Bangalore Kasturi Nagar NGEF Near RTO Office, called him fixed an appointment, went there yesterday 2-Dec-2020. i live near IIM B in South Bangalore travelled 27 kms.

Ayyappa himself checked for leaks in the condenser, no leaks, checked compressor, hoses, all good, checked for a leak with a pressure test in the evaporator, the pressure was not holding, dropping, removed the steering, dashboard as evaporator at least in Wagon R cannot be accessed without removing the dashboard.

The evaporator was removed, in spite of using cabin Air filter from date of purchase the amount of dirt, muck is not speakable, rat poo...yuck did a water dip test..viola bubbles, Evaporator / cooling coil costing 3K INR including GST was sourced from an MGP outlet Neema Auto was replaced and all boxed up.

His labour was Rs. 3500, did a neat job, ensured all clips, bolts, washers were back, Gas charging and condenser oil added, A total of 6500 well spent, he has given a verbal warranty of year+. 6500 includes the evaporator, labour+ gas charging and compressor oil.

Pls try him for car AC repairs, AC gas top-up, AC clean up etc.,while I was there 3 more cars came for AC gas top up etc.,

Aditya Car AC Service.
Location : Ejipura Signal, Bangalore.

I have come to believe that AC , like wheel alignment is a specialist`s job. You need experience to diagnose and fix things without throwing money and parts at a car. So in essence Vijay for Alignment, Aditya for AC.

Mr. Pradeep (the one who runs \owns their Koramangala - Bangalore store) is very customer friendly , has an efficient army of technicians and gets through the job very quickly, all parts are in place and they are very familiar with how to dismantle and put things back together. The work is very detailed, attention to details that would put a BHPians mind at ease.

Thanks @Kosfactor for the recommendation. I went there to get an AC problem fixed in my Cedia. Very professional and to the point. He immediately identified the cause, committed to 45 minutes and fixed it in time. Explained the problem, showed what he did, the before and after.
This is exactly the kind of no nonsense service one looks forward to.

Re: Bangalore : Please suggest a Good Workshop to repair A/C

hello folks

I recently moved to Bangalore and I am looking for a good AC mechanic.

I had a rat incident and now the car stints of rat shit. A rat died in the blower and now I want to clean the entire AC system.

I.e remove the dash, clean the coils blowers etc and clean out the vents as well.

Since I dont know much about Bangalore, I need your help. Would Aditya AC guy be able to remove the dash and get the things done ? or is there anyone better available?

My localtion is Konanakunte cross, so Aditya guy is not really close to be. Jayanagar, JP Nagar and nearby areas work for me.

I suggest you make time for the hour's drive. I've used their services twice and found them to be mostly professional. They did try selling me a new cabin filter but otherwise they were very good with their work.

I would also suggest that you install a steel mesh on the fresh air intake vent. A competent FNG can do this for you. It will ensure that rats cannot access the blower. Just ensure that the mesh is installed using clips and not drilled into the cowl.

I tried Aditya AC service near Ejipura today. They checked for leaks, there was none. They noted there was no AC filter in the car. So suggested installing a new filter, AC service she gas filling. The work was done in 45 mins. The AC is working well now. I was advised to get gas filled every 6 months. For AC filter change, AC service and gas filling together, I was charged 3500.
