That was the initial estimate given by the service center for the purpose of Insurance. However the final bill would be known only after the vehicle is completely repaired. Since it is all happening on Vijayawada I am not able to follow up and monitor as much as I wish to.

Planning on visiting one of these days to check it all up personally. Will update as soon as I get some more details.

You are really luck to escape with damage to the car only. 140 kph you go over the sidewalk on a bridge your car could have easily overturned or spun out and hit any oncoming vehicle result of which would be almost surely fatal. Thank your lucky stars and your magnum that you are safe and sound.

Hi Opti,

I got my car day before. Went to Vijayawada by train with a friend of mine who owns a Maruti *** and drove it back to Hyderabad. Yesterday was very busy and could not write about it.

My car is back in its original shape and looks as good as new. Though the initial estimate was given around Rs.2.25-2.5 lakhs, the final cost of repairs was Rs.1,21,000.00+ (will scan and post the bill later) and I got 1,03,000.00 from the insurance company. I paid 18,800.00 from my pocket.

Will post the bill and photo tomorrow.

Hmm, the spares do appear to be reasonable. Post the bill copy at convenience. It would give us an general idea about the maintainence.

Well thats very good news. Congratulations for getting back your car in pristine condition. Kindly post some pics of it.
And you got off it really cheap. (18800). The spares look to be cheap as well considering the total cost of repairs. The bill will certainly help.
