I confirmed with Tata Safari FB page admin and they said that Storme page is not their. So looks like someone non official have created this page to get people hooked.
Guys, don't believe in rumours :) stay tuned to TBHP and Safari FB page for details. On last to last page there is link to live stream for launch.
Thanks,
Vishal.

Not sure, we need to check :)
The Official "TATA Safari Storme" page on Facebook has pictures of the interior. Same old Alpine Head Unit and no Automatic Climate Control either! :deadhorse

Its 12 moon. Also confirmed by motorbash.comclap:
Also Tata Safari Storme page on Fb is 101% Fake as:
1. Once he posted " Like Tata Safari page (the official one) for updates of Storme.
2. Whatever information is posted here, gets updated there
Disappointed, that's just me, a true die hard safari fan. Not repeating the grudges that are already documented and I expected a lot more from the car. Don't think this would be my third safari ! Tata would now launch this car, learn from experiences and face lift after two years !
I hope i am proved wrong. Looks Mahindra is on a fast forward mode and Tata going behind ! Could have attempted a better job, something similar to what Mahindra is doing with Rexton launch etc.

Million dollar question!! Mods, are we getting the official review tomorrow itself? |
No, the TBHP official review will not be today.
This wait is killing. All the hype is built upon the price range. Pricing would alone play the part in the Storme's future. Let's hope TATA gets it right this time, unlike ARIA fiasco.

An outrage, considering the state of our roads.
Another glitch is that between two variants of the same car, tax increases by over 50k as one ascends the 10 lac line. :Frustrati |
:OT It is 6% till 5 lakhs, then 8% upto 10 lakhs & then 10% above 10 lakhs till 15 lakhs, in
Kerala ofcourse.

Same feelings exactly !!
It seems Tata wanted to launch this car in 2008 and it got delayed. They still went ahead and launched the same car almost 5 years later.
That Alpine Unit looks like what the NHC used to come with back in 2006.
Have heard a lot of comments on 2 din vs single din here. What exactly is the killer feature in a 2 din that a single din lacks? Is the music quality worse? Does it not play all formats of music? Does it not allow multiple sound settings? Am not a car music guy so wondering why it is such a big deal. All i know is it doesn't affect the performance/reliability of the car! Someone please explain.

A double DIN system means that you can get a much larger screen, and traditionally, this has been reserved for things such as satellite navigation for in-car systems. DIN refers to a standardized radio/stereo size for vehicles by the International Standard ISO 7736. 1 DIN is large enough to accept a CD, and a 2 DIN allows for a much larger and more attractive screen size, making way for the all-in-one DVD and multimedia system.
The website for Storme is up (actually the same Safari website
http://www.tatasafari.com/# with details about Storme). Attached is the brochure. Price not up yet for the Storme. Old Safari prices given below.

Agree! However if manufacture provide these many features then price will surely go up.
So I think they are concentrating on right things (mechanical) rather than electronic gizmos which will make car of no use in remote area because of some electronics failure. We have lots of examples in market and people who really want a tank don't chose that specific model.
But yes they could have provided the slot for 2 din for after sales fitment.
Thanks,
Vishal
