I'm sorry to sway off the discussion, but I wished to ask if it is advisable to take the 3rd and 4th year warranty from the Ford dealer along with the delivery of the vehicle? It is costing around 10000 Rs. Will it be worth the money that I'm paying?

What are the body parts covered under the warranty?

Personally, I believe extended warranty is worth it. I had a Hyundai i10 which had a power steering failure in its 4th year of running. I had bought the extended warranty and Hyundai promptly replaced it under warranty. Had I not bought the extended warranty (worth about 5k then), I would have had to shell out close to 30k on parts and labor. I later got to know that EPS failure was a common issue on early i10s, but I'm sure the service center wouldn't have agreed for free replacement if I didn't have the additional warranty (there was no official recall to my knowledge).

Did you get the OEM rear view camera with the irvm installed on your car ? if yes can you tell me if the new irvm has the day night mode ?

I haven't installed that. There was a bracket design mismatch problem (U shape vs V shape) and so I decided to drop the plan. I am now managing well with just the sensors. The sensors work quite well actually and I never felt the need for the rear view camera.

I think 'ecosport rules' got them installed. You should ask him.

Yes it has a daynight mode and the bracket design mismatch has been rectified by ford to fit the ecosport.
