Thanks. Actually there was a scratch at that site so that sticker was put there to conceal that peeled off paint.

Good pictures with full details, appreciate the same. We have to give it to M&M, for creating so many storage spaces with lot of thoughtfulness and the wonderful seat design,as well.

With due respects, the exterior chrome additions are not to my liking(sorry!).

Wonderful color and once again, congratulations!

Congratulations once again Manasmadaan!
A new XUV ownership thread on TeamBHp after quite some time!

Liked the opening post, the crisp review and loads of pictures.

Can you please share a close-up pic of the LiveYoung sticker? Just trying to figure out if it is pasted from inside the windshield.

Many Congratulations Manasmadaan and best wishes.
Enjoy riding the Cheetah, hope it gives a niggle free performance.

Do change the stock horns to something better like Hella Red Grille.

Congratulations mate for the awesome SUV. The color looks great. I too have been lusting after it since the day it was launched.
One thing though, isn't the rear bull bar giving it a MUVish look?
Drive safe.

Thanks doc. The colour is a treat to the eyes if mantained well. I am very happy that i went for this colour instead of the silver that i had finalized earlier.

Thanks and i too hope that it remains niggle free, So far so good.
The horn seems ok to me but i will look at the above mentioned one. What about warranty issues?

Thanks It is the lust that convinced me to go for it finally.
Yes i agree about the looks of the rear bull bar but then it seemed necessary to me because of the size of the vehicle and the traffic sense where i have to drive it daily.

I hope it's NOT deep. Else I would have preferred a touch up and then the sticker on top.

For a minor scratch, you could have tried a rubbing compound usage.

No it was not very deep. Rubbing compound was used which corrected most of it but not entirely. So i thought what better way of concealing it than putting up a team bhp sticker?

Re: A dream come true: My Purple Mahindra XUV5OO W8 FWD

Many congratulations on your new ride!

My friend is planning to buy one (FWD W8) very soon and we have already taken a test drive. No doubt this is an impressive ride and the middle row seats were extremely comfortable with so much of leg-space and good upholstery all round. The last row felt a bit congested though and may not fit a proper full-grown adults - best suited for kids perhaps.

Just a suggestion from what we had observed during our TD:

The faux wood panel for the storage compartment above the touchscreen display is glossy.

A dream come true: My Purple Mahindra XUV5OO W8 FWD-mahindraxuv500australia23.jpg

When we took a test drive, the reflections were everywhere - very distracting and in fact, it was bouncing off the front windshield as well! I am not sure how the Mahindra guys overlooked this part but this portion had to be finished in a matte material instead of the faux wood. You should get this part wrapped in a matte sheet (carbon fiber?) from the 3M Car Care outlet or a similar outlet. They would do it in a jiffy and would hardly cost 200-300 bucks. Trust me, it will help you during your long highway drives and wouldn't cause any distractions.

Wishing you many happy miles with her. Buckle up and drive safe.

Thanks. Yes, the last row is not comfortable for adults on a long journey but the middle row is just awesome.

Yes, there is a reflection of the glossy central console top on the windscreen but somehow i did not find it very distracting during the limited time that i have spent with the car. May be because the reflection is in the center of the glass and not on the driver side.
However i have not had any long drives yet (one i had was during late evening), so i will assess it during some long drive and then decide whether to go for the above or not?
One thing i am planning to go for is 3m paint protection. Any advices on that and is it really beneficial?

Paint protection, Teflon coating, under-body anti-rust coating, etc., are money-making racket. They are not at all required for your XUV500, IMO.
