That was quick :-).
Did you replace the existing one ,or just added a new one along with the existing one .
The stock horns really sounds crap .
Also looks like these horns are from jetta .
Will it be possible for you to upload a audio file to give us an idea how they sound now .

Re: My Glistening Night Blue VW Polo 1.5 TDi Highline

Update: VW Polo genuine arm rest with cup holder.
I ordered it via vagtune and got it delivered today at my home and i fixed it into my car from an accessory shop in calicut. It was done within 10-15 minutes. The quality of the product is top notch, may be better than the stock. Thanks sugesh for the prompt delivery and for all the help.
This is how it came in

The armrest looks great!

Can you share the link from where you ordered the armrest? I searched on the Vagtune website, but could not find it. How much did it cost including the shipping charges?

Re: My Glistening Night Blue VW Polo 1.5 TDi Highline

Your car look so good in blue colour & a well written ownership log . Today I had a pretty long drive in my friend's brand new Polo TDI Highline. I must say I was very impressed with the car.
When we were about to part, I had to take some items from the boot, Then we noticed there are no boot lights coming ON when the boot is opened (Yet there are lights in foot well etc). Is it same with your car?

Yeah it is the same car. As you said omission of boot light is not acceptable. It's really dark if you want to take some thing from the boot in the night. Atleast they could have given a provision for fixing it as an accessory.

VW Polo 1.5 - Rattling Instrument Cluster

Keeping aside all the pros of my Polo, I have an issue with the car from the day 2 of the delivery. There developed a rattle from the dashboard while the car goes through bad stretches especially over the uneven roads.

Earlier I couldn't appreciate the origin of the rattle but later, on repeated checks I found out that it's the front cover of the instrument cluster that irritates. Daily I have to cover around 8 km in an uneven road before entering into highway. So every day during this initial period the car rattles very badly and is really annoying me because I really don't like any kind of minute vibrations in my cars. The rattle stops once I press against the cover over the right corner bottom end. I had raised this issue with the S.A.( trust worthy guy Mr.Gokul) but he couldn't appreciate it during the TD. He advised to have a look into it during the 7500 km service interval by removing the cluster and checking the cause and any possibility to dampen the rattle. In the mean time I had discussed this issue in my ownership thread but the discussion didn't grow up. Even bhpians anshurao and mnitdevil have experienced the same issue.

If the SA can dampen and arrest the rattle then no issues.

If not you'll need to do it yourself. Which is a bit risky but a good FNG that does see VW cars should be able to the job better. A rubber packing is what that could be needed to arrest the vibration/rattle.
