I recently sold my 4x4 2012 Yeti, with 239000+ km on the clock, only due to the 10-year NGT restriction in the NCR region. This machine has tank-like build quality. I know one more in NCR with such high mileage.
Still, I very much miss the driving pleasure and practicality it offered in the city and highway usage.

Very reassuring. Thanks!

The Yeti with the new set of shoes!

Update:

ODO: 124300

Wolf Moto stage 1+
I have been looking for some more juice in the low-mid range. Pete's stage-1 shines in the mid-top. Wolf-Moto it is! Wanted to try their Stage 1+ map as they do custom maps as per our tastes. After some 500+ km, the impression is that the throttle response and the low end have definitely improved over Pete's.

New VARTA® battery installed:
It was yesterday, the Yeti, for the first time, wouldn't start. Immediately I suspected the battery as Rajeev @Wolf Moto had warned of a weak battery while updating the map. Called up EVM Skoda which is just 10km away and their team brought home a brand new VARTA® battery in an hour. The Yeti roared back in just one crank. I must say the Skoda OEM Varta is twice as expensive as the regular Amaron and like!

P.S: I might move back abroad with family again in a month or so. But I don't feel like parting with this magnificent machine.

Update:

Relocating back abroad this Month. The Blox Aluminium forged 6061-T6 spacers are up for grab if any enthusiast is keen.

Being a (rare) Yeti owner myself, I had been following your thread. The way you have carried out the mods to your Yeti have all been subtle and classy including Pentair roof box.

Wish you happy motoring back abroad and with another set of wheels:thumbs up

Hello I am a Yeti owner from Mumbai. Mine is a 2010 4X4 diesel and has 125,000 km on the odo. I would liike some advice on changing the shock absorbers and other parts if needed. Any tips on where to get Bilsteins and where to get them fitted. Thank you all

Pete's used be the authorised dealer of Bilstein. I had my B6 purchased (and installed) through them from their workshop in Kochi/Kerala.

Back in India for a short vacation!
The Yeti is back in action! The Wolfed Yeti's Stage 1+ is definitely more exhilarating than the Pete's. The lower+middle ends are super-responsive with Rajeev's custom tune. The throttle response is just beautiful!

A mobile click of the dusty Yeti!

https://instagram.com/bilsteinindia?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= I bought from them , extremely positive experience. Talk to Vijay
But may I ask if you really have researched about changing over to bilstein? The ride is bad , no two ways about it but high speed manners put sedans to shame. Overall , I would still say OEM better if you don't do a lot of high speed cornering. I , for one, being for speed restricted Kerala roads wouldn't recommend them in my native.

Update:

The Yeti continues to drive like a dream with rock solid stability and handling. No rattles, no squeaks, nothing! Amazing vehicle it is!

Having said that, it was a few months back, all of a sudden the ABS + handbrake+ traction control warning lights popped up when I was on the way to Palakkad from Kochi. I suspected the usual ABS sensor but on thorough inspection at EVM Skoda, it proved the more expensive ABS control module going kaput! It means, no safety features work and even the steering precision was missing! The Skoda charges close to Rs.1.45 lacs for it and I decided to source it from abroad.

During this visit back home I got it sourced from abroad by Lotus auto in Kochi and got it installed. Along with that, the rear brakes were changed too. There was nothing else needed and the Yeti is back to it's very best again!

Hi,
Awesome thread. Have followed it keenly since a long time.
Had a similar issue with my Yeti recently and Skoda quoted close to 1.6 lacs.
Fortunately an FNG in my city sourced a used module, installed and coded it. Its working fine for now.

If you don't mind, could you share how much it costed you?

It came around Rs.45k if I remember it correct (part and labour). I had to wait for 10 days or so for the part to arrive. It was all done by the FNG. I won't be going to Skoda ASC from now on. These guys are German car specialists and they know what they do. There is no guarantee for these electronic parts though.

But for now, it's a bliss to be behind the wheel of this amazing car. The Yeti is inching closer to the 1.30k km mark and will be resting a bit until I am back in June! I will be getting the Spacers out and the Lenso Alloys and the up-sized Continentals are good enough for the stance.

Oh wow, that's very reasonable.
Did they import a brand new part or refurbished module?
And does this FNG have a website?

Not sure about it but it's definitely NOT a used part. Not sure if they have any website but these guys were recommended by a BHPian.

Further enhancements planned:

1. Performance (high flow) exhaust or downpipe! (Stage-2)
2. Brake upgrade
3. Stage-3 = Turbo and intercooler upgrade

I was discussing it with Rajiv (WolfMoto) who will be getting back to me with details shortly. I am not really fancying stage-3 (reliability concerns) but a brake (larger and perforated rotor + performance pads) and a possible exhaust upgrade are in the pipeline.

Anyone with first-hand experience with any specific brand for the performance (high flow) exhaust (and also for the brake upgrade)?
