Congrats on the A4! It looks majestic in black. May I know what was the final price you paid for the premium variant and which dealership did you deal with? We are also looking to purchase an Audi A4 premium variant but trying to get the best deal. Right now its 42.5L with 3 year service pack and 5 year extended warranty for the premium variant. Hoping it can go under 40 OTR

Congrats on your purchase.
I am currently finalising the purchase. Could you kindly share the discount that was offered for your car. My SA is quoting 5 lakhs discount on the A4 along with extended warranty and 3 year service pack

Hi Everyone,

Few words about last two queries

1. I took it from Audi Chandigarh
2. Discounts are to the tune of 8-9 Lakhs
3. I went ahead with BH registration
4. Final price less registration (incl 3 yrs service and 5 yr warranty, insurance and 10 yrs RSA) was way below the price you guys mentioned.
6. Push them more, it was raining discounts till 30 Sep (not sure if now).

Regards

Hello All,

Re: A dream come true | My Audi A4 2.0 TFSi | Ownership Review | EDIT: 1 Year and 20,000 km up

Few days ago, stumbled across this "Energy consumers" piece of information on the MID, viz., the Auto Start/Stop feature.

As is widely known, the air conditioner is perhaps the biggest culprit when it comes to drawing power or consuming energy for auxiliaries.

Check out this pic, for example:-

A dream come true | My Audi A4 2.0 TFSi | Ownership Review | EDIT: 1 Year and 20,000 km up-whatsapp-image-20231114-18.20.19.jpeg

..showing almost 25% level of consumption, and that too when the car was stationary (parked).

And now see this pic:-

A dream come true | My Audi A4 2.0 TFSi | Ownership Review | EDIT: 1 Year and 20,000 km up-whatsapp-image-20231114-18.20.19-1.jpeg

...showing almost 0% consumption, when the Start/Stop feature gets activated (green colored circular "A" - for auto appears beside the "P").

This level of energy saving can possibly add upto a neat fuel efficiency, provided the Start/Stop feature is used wisely on those longish traffic signals and other such scenarios.

New AMC, but the same old charm

Since my previous annual AMC with Glosswerkz had expired couple of months ago, I was planning to get it renewed. However, inspite of reaching out to them few times, there was radio silence from their end. So I had to look elsewhere.

A car aficionado (trying for TBHP membership)in my society suggested I try out the newly opened CarzSpa studio in Bavdhan. I casually gave them a call and they immediately latched onto the request, providing all the required details promptly. I went to the studio to have a look and I was impressed by the 5000 sq ft setup. The owner Mr. Karthikeya seemed to understand the technicalities of detailing to a good extent, and offered a good deal for premium wash AMC.

I will let the pictures do the talking, as a step-by-step process.

Starting with a wash to hose off any dust and dirt marks:-

Next, the wheel wells and the alloys:-

Cleaning off the dirt:-

Followed by ASMR foam:-

Some tender scrubbing:-

Hosing off again:-

Oft-neglected underbody spraying:-

Next up, interiors getting cleaned and vacuumed:-

Some more action out on the streets:-

Cheers.

As you were there for the entire process, Could you tell me how long did the process take from start to finish?
Also, what can one expect to pay for an in-depth exterior and interior cleaning service as yours?

Thank you.

Very nicely done. This reminds me of my teenage days when my cousin and I used to wash all 3 cars at home in this manner on a Sunday

We were crazy for our cars to look spankingly clean for our dad's when going to office on Monday.

I think the process took about 2.5-3 hrs. end to end.
For my cleaning service, I signed upto an AMC (called as "premium" wash AMC) and it typically costs about 700-900 per wash. This cost usually depends on the duration of your AMC - 6 months/12 months etc.

You bet
Washing 3 cars must have meant a good physical workout in your teens!

Re: A dream come true | My Audi A4 2.0 TFSi | Ownership Review | EDIT: 1 Year and 20,000 km up

I recently booked a Mythos Black A4 Technology and now eagerly await delivery. Your thread has been a strong reason in my considering the A4. Let me explain: I had practically booked a Virtus when I decided to test drive the A4, for which your thread was the definitive influence. The TD convinced me over.

The A4 fell in the sweet spot between expectations and budget as opposed to the A class or the 3 series. I think I managed to get a relatively good deal at 46.6 lakhs OTR inclusive of insurance and 3+2 years extended warranty. I could not get the comprehensive service pack. That appears to have been stopped.

I had initially booked the Manhattan Grey that looks simply great on the A4 but similar shades of grey have become too common. We already have two white cars. So after a lot of hesitation booked my first car in black.

Looking forward to your regular updates of your thread.

Thanks a lot for the generous praise

The A4 is a gem of a car! Your switching/upgrading from the Virtus to the A4 is kind of a deja vu moment for me. I had the Vento (Virtus category) before this and the 2-segment transition to the A4 felt surreal to me.

At 46.6 on-road + insurance + 5 yrs warranty for the top-end Technology variant, I think you got a pretty solid deal. I paid almost 46.xx for my Premium Plus (mid-variant) last year.
Audi launches offers from time to time for discounts on the service pack. Do watch out and if you come across one, then you may want to take it.

"Black" is back!
On your Four Ringer, that color will look drop-dead gorgeous just during twilight with the DRLs ON. If you happen to click some pictures in that moment, please do share here.

Thanks, I wasn’t aware of that. Will check on this with the dealership.

Re: A dream come true | My Audi A4 2.0 TFSi | Ownership Review | EDIT: 1 Year and 20,000 km up

Has Audi silently retuned its engine, up ticking its power by a small margin? The newer models seem to come with the 150KW (202 BHP) against the earlier 140KW (188 BHP) rating. Wondering what lead to it, BS6.2?
