How is the ride quality with lower profile tires?

I guess the real drawbacks are (1) lack of ABS, Airbags (2) Iffy handling at high speeds

Guess there is an option for ABS installation.Any options for improving the handling in a quick fix fashion?

drove one?

Better tyres will help to some extend. And a brain that understands that its a pocket rocket and hence to play safe.

How many of you will do 140kmph on a daily basis for kms and kms?

Not many of will do untill they know how the roads are - like on western expressway.

It handles well upto 120 on typical indian SH.
Straightline - can exceed 150+ for some moment till you see a speed breaker.

It takes around 55Mtrs for 100-0 (which is decent) if a driver is driving carefully :)
ABS will obviously help while braking on a corner.

Yes i did drive once, but maxed out@110 kmph. Any faster on my home stretch, considering the status of my roads i would have reached high heaven. At these speeds handling is of course not an issue at all so i depend on hearsay/ quotes from those folks who have managed to drive consistently fast over extended spans.

Yes i guess tyres should help, heck they improved the handling on my Santro on highways by a long margin. ABS would definitely be great.

My question was more on the lines of anything to tweak the suspension.I guess that is not a quick fix option..

so getz crdi has no abs and maybe dealers can offer an option to add the abs kit from the petrol version.
Is there ebd on the getz crdi or is that also part of the abs kit??

Good one @sanjay
Even I am planning to upgrade to either Getz CRDI or Palio Stile MJD.
The marketing executive at Trident mentioned that there is no such need to upgrade the tyres if the speed is maintained till 120KMPH. The current profile is adequate to handle this speed. Also any tyre profile upgradation would impact the fuel efficiency in negative direction. If really interested then he suggested to opt for 195/R14 profile tubeless tyres but maintain the stock steel rims instead of going for alloys.
Both the dealers mentioned that the car delivers 14kmpl mileage in Bangalore peak traffic and 15.5 to 16kmpl in normal traffic conditions.
The paid service cost would be between Rs 2800 to Rs 3000 excluding wheel alignment expenses.

Better tyres will be needed if one is planning to use the extra power, not for stability but for grip and handling.

Go for MJD man. There is no point in spending ~1L more if you are not planning to cross 120kmph. (No offense intended)

I will be installing Pete's after some 10000kms . That time i will be going for 195/60 R14 Michelin XM1+ or Yokohama S drives(subject to availability in my area) . I wont be able to drive around 150 or 190 kmph speed in my roads as there are heavy traffic on the highways and i can hardly reach even 120kmph. And good fuel efficiency is always in my mind , so i wont be driving that hard .

You can fix petes tuning box after the 1st service there wont be any issues.

Ride quality is much better, steering feels a little weighted now and I also get good confidence on high speed braking.

No sign of rattles inside the cabin. Feel this is the best up size for Getz.

On hard braking from high speeds , my stock 14incher used to lock up so bad that sometimes I will have to hit a speed breaker so hard I will have to hurt my bum but after upsizing to a broader tire the composure is very well maintained and I will definitely recommend this size mainly for the VGT Getz.

Hope this information helps all.

S drives don't come in that size. U can consider BFG sport.
