I have booked bright silver .. White colour is still available i think.. I am going to take the delivery of the car on 23rd Wednesday. Will check at the HMP and post the full information .

what do you guys think of roof rails on getz? will it look bad?

I am planning to install ICE with Sony HU and JBL Speakers ..
having idea to but the JBL Speakers from Authorised Dealer in chennai named CATS in GP Road. The other things would be done later little by little as i cant put a bulk amount at the same time.

Regarding the Roof Rails , it depends on the personal taste. I wont say it will look bad , i liked the roof rails in FIAT Palio Adventure.

Go for a good gear lock.

Roof rails I think will look good if they are of really sleek design.

But another BHPian posted that fitting the gear lock in Getz is little problematic and the plastics get a slight damage white fitting it.

I think there are two types of gear locks. It will be worth to find out which is right fit for getz.

IMO, gear lock is very essential for vehicle security.

Went to Trident Hyundai, near cauvery theatre on saturday with my mother and brother in my chevy spark.
Talked to a sales executive for a TD and after 30min he bought a car (silver).
The car was sold to a customer and had a temporary registered number plate.
I told him that i wont drive since it is a customer's car. He tried to convince me a lot and told that they got it recently.

Engine & transmission:
Started the car and wow no noise in the cabin. No engine clatter, no feeling of a diesel monster under the hood. Car felt super smooth while sitting inside the cabin. I felt its better than Verna.
Pressed clutch (smooth) and slotted in 1st gear.
Gear shift is short and smooth. It is much better than my spark.
Changed to 2nd gear and floored the pedal and WOW :Shockked: its a dream machine man... It pulls like a monster and there is no sign of sluggishness in the turbo region. This car cannot be compared to Swift/fabia D when it comes to power and performance.

Ride and handling:
Ride quality is amazing and handling is very good.
Put the car in a corner and it handles well (swift is better). This little monster requires a tyre upgrade as wheel spins in second and third gear and it is more required than an ICE.:)
Brakes are powerful and everybody knows - ABS is missing.
Body roll is well controlled (swift is better).

Interiors:
Very spacious and decent sized boot.
Got lots of storage space inside the cabin. Centre wooden console looks cheap. Plastic quality is decent.
Driver seat height adjustment is missing.
No rattles unlike in swift.

PROS:
Fantastic Engine
Good build quality
Fantastic ride
Good handling
Lots of space
Beige interiors
No rattles
Decent sized boot + 60:40 split rear seats with double folding
AC is powerfull and chills quickly.

CONS:
Pricey
Centre console looks cheap
No ABS
No rear defogger + wiper

Finally its Getz D for me.

@djay : Nice review , finally got a TD of Getz CRDi ah . I will be getting my hands on my Getz D Tomorrow from HMP Chennai . I am taking Silver Color. If you want White color , the car is readily available.

I am confused between red and silver.
I feel scratches will be very visible on red compared to silver.
Please post a pic of your car. It will help me to decide.

What tyre upgrade you planning for ? White or black is the colour for Getz!

Well atleast Trident is offering a mp3 player for you, when I checked out the details, they just mentioned basic accessories.
Let me know if they have offered any cash discounts and what is the committed delivery date.
By the way, the marketing guy informed me that if booked within this week, he will get me the car at 6.5Lakhs otherwise the price would be revised due to steel price hike and it would be 6.5Lakhs + 10k(~)
