Bought a Palio SLX yesterday

Hi all

I bought a 1.1 SLX yesterday. The color is carbon black and I must say she looks very very hot . I have many of you (especially Rajan aka PatchyBoy) to thank to help me arrive at the choice & close the deal. I ll try & post a couple of pics.

Btw, can any of you guide me on the operation of the fog lamps? I hvnt been able to figure out how to switch them on.

- Mithun

Hi, when you switch on the parking lights, you can use the switch on the dash next to the A/C to turn on the fogs. They will not operate unless the parking lights are on.

Thanks. I ll try to post pics asap.
I paid 4.35 L + 12K for the accessories i.e art leather covers & a Blau MP27 ICE (with small 4 inch speakers though). This is my first car & I am not good at negotiating. I realised only after the deal was struck that I could have pushed the dealer harder. Maybe you can get the same deal for a few thousands less. Btw, the car was shipped from Ranjangaon on 31st dec so it ll qualify as a 2007 model !!

That is not true, Once you hit the fog lamp switch it switches on. It does not need the parking lights. I have used the fog lamps for my highway travel.

It is the switch next to the AirCon

Maybe some problem with my car, it only comes on when you put the parking/driving lights on (first position on the light stalk).

Not a problem, it is that way by design - it works only when the parking or headlights are on, same in my 2001 GTX.

And a very good design I might add , prevents them from being on without your knowledge, the led on the switch is not actually very visible from the driving position in daylight.
