Anyways is very tempting..will get it done after the warranty period
This was the hybrid turbo version of the petrol Accent aka Verna before its launch.
Have a close look at these angel eyes, and the side fender of this hybrid accent and current verna. Some mods has to do in the present verna as the corner of the lights on side fender is blunt whereas in this hybrid accent its stunning edgy like that of swift.
This Angel lights really looks good, I really fail to understand why their lights are blunt if this hybrid angel lights really good and fabulous.

Verna is not an ugly car its just their lights needs to change. rest it looks very much compact n sporty.

Blood Red Verna + Side Skirtings + Chrome Alloys + Black Tints + pete's + Green Filter + CAI + 205 size tyres + Angel Lights of this hybrid Accent in the above picture = My Verna.

i plan to do it for my car after warranty period, its available from korea and malaysia as told to me by my friend working in MGF.. and yes if you notice the driverside front door platform, you can see that 195/55 R15 is ofiicially mentioned for the verna, and the recomended tyre pressure is also mentioned!!.
i couldnt compromise on the ride comfort so i played it safe with the R14 setup.
and yes skirtings i have seen , really cool ones at that too, but the ground clearence gets reduced like crazy man .
they call it the road kissing type of skirts! . it will be doom for me to get that on. so i am staying away from it.
they cost around 20k from some ixio design korea. looks real slick though.

verna dicky is not desinged to have a spoiler, if you watch closely there is an upwards bent at the end of dicky, this babe doesnt need a spoiler dude.
i was hell bent on fixing one, but got a strict no from the service supervisor, some vernas are having spoilers, but its useless, the purpose of a spoiler wont be there coz of the rear end design.

i am thinking of getting a higher rated tyre, probably a V rated one, for next tyre change, got a decent 10k more to go on the current stock tyres!.
a V-rated tyre can easily handle the heat generated at 200kmph true top speed.
where as the current ones are rated for an 180kmph true speed, its a gamble to go at 200+ kmph in those tyres i did it twice!

peace out
sameel

High speed problem

Guys,

iam facing slight vibration on steering wheel when the beast croses 120kmph.when i explained the same thing to hyundai technitian he said if its the wheel balancing problem then the vibration will start at 80 kmph itself which i dont get.i get only after 120 kmph.
technitian said check if the vibration goes off after 140 or 150 kmph which unfortunately i cannot check in kochin.did any of you guys come across such a problem. Please put in your valuable thoughts on this.

regards

there is no rule that the vibration in a wheel balancing problem should appear at 80kmph and not at 120.
that technician seems to be speaking out of his posterior.
get it checked. its most likely going to be wheel balancing.

which hyundai service do you use in cochin?

if you're doing a lot of city driving, and using normal oil, it would be good to change the oil at 5000.
air filter in the verna doesnt get choked that fast in cochin's driving conditions. I had checked it at 5000, and it looked clean.

Yep now i have one more guys who has similar Fe figures , but without the Pete's box !

Hey binoy did you graduate from CUSAT by any chance ...

About the oil filter and air filter change at 5000 Kms it is recommended to check and replace if the car is being driven under "harsh" conditions as defined by hyundai , do refer to the owners manual for details.

I for one do get it check and changed if required, as i commute a lot in city as well as in highly dusty conditions.

Hi bonoy , i had this probelm , the tyre guys attributed this to the after market alloys that i have on my car , so they suggested that i put in hub rings and now there is no vibration.

Also note that vibration can happen if your tye is wearing out unevenly . Some batches of vernas used to report this probelm so better get your wheel balancing checked as well as alignment.
