lol: Good one there. Recession hit Ishan is also waiting to get his hands on the new footwear!

Bling bling update ??? ;)

Ishan come on update this thread ...

Well here's an update after a long, long time. Gabbar has till now covered about 36k+ kms and has seen a not so stressed life like Dhanno did before it primarily due to my much reduced running in the past couple of years.

Anyway, along the way, she's picked up a couple of mods. I'll let the pics explain better:

Fitment of Ultra Light Weight Konig Britelite alloy wheels. 15"x6.5J - 5.4kgs a piece
Shod with Advan Neova AD07 tyres in 195/55 R15.

And then, owing to the very poor headlights of the Getz, I decided to go in for a full-blown Projector+Xenon upgrade on the car. But, being a more usability rather than looks guy, I decided to go in with a relatively unknown or unpopular setup for the car.

Final configuration was as follows:

Infiniti FX-R Projectors (Modded for RHD)
Paired with Philips D2S 4300k bulbs & Philips ballast

My friend Pranav did the build process of the light for me and he did a fantastic job with them.

Now I don't have to worry about the pesky Santro's/Wagon R's etc with their high beams on. The low-beam is more than sufficient for everyday usage and when needed the ultra-quick D2S high-beam flashes have enough of an effect even on seasoned truckers to get them to dip down to low-beam :)

I'll let the pics talk for themselves:

Amazing the upgrade is. How much did it cost you.

The throw is awesome and so is the setup.

Congratulations on this super upgrade.

Excellent lighting set-up. :thumbs up Do you mind telling us what it cost you?

You are still running this pocket rocket with a 1.1L sticker from the Santro? LOL!!

Awesome upgrade, specially the lights. Whats the cost of the entire setup?

Sirji - for a moment i thought that the Headlights were stock. It definitely looks much better than stock in terms of lumen. :) Please share the cost if possible.

Congrats Sirji.

raghava you have transformed your Hot Hatch into a Fireball buddy. AWESOME !! :)

Now like many here, I have few questions and you know what they are..LOL

1. Please share the cost for the entire setup and time taken for an installation.
2. Probably more important, how can I source this onto my Getz in Bangalore?

Thanks BR. The upgrade if one chooses the exact same setup as mine is in the region of about 20-25k. Almost everything has to be imported though, not much of what has been put in is available here.

Yes, running it with the same old badge :) Awesome fun! With the new wheels & tyres it has lost some of its 'Q' car appeal though.

1. Cost I've mentioned above & time taken is 2 days because the headlights & the wiring require a fair amount of work.

2. I don't think anyone makes these in Bangalore. I'll check & get back to you on that.

Appreciate your response on that raghava. :) Yes, if you could provide me any information on someone who can do this job just as well as yours, I would owe you one big time.

The reason I am so keen on this kind of setup was its almost as close as it Gets to making Getz headlight resemble a BMW or Skoda. I just Love the Throw on these German Cars bro. Now, we have one Korean to look out for!! stupid:

thats an awesome power for light, I would agree when you said that it forces truckers to also low their beams.

Very powerful it looks from these pictures. Can I set up similar one on my Santro ?
