@Extreme_torque and @Eddy,

I got around 4.3L for my VDI. I had driven it around 19000 kms. What do you think, hows the resale value?

The car didnt have any alloys or upgraded tyres etc. Just music system - Kenwood and JBL Speakers, Autocop.

Have always felt that Vista would look better if the chrome strip on the top of the grill is removed, and the meshed gill gives way to parallel lines. Will try doing it in photoshop sometime.

But any way great looking car. One question though, didnt the anniversary edition come with alloy wheels as standard?

In the first pic, if you look at the tree, It looks like a man kicking the Vista .

Having owned the swift Vdi and now owing the vista quadra, what do you feel is the difference between the two interms of refinement, power, quality, fuel efficiency etc.. You are the best person to give some sort of perspective.

i guess you got a 20k discount because of there being no alloys. the car looks kinda weird without them

@rrsteer,

The alloy wheels are not coming in any of the anniversary editions now as Hindalco has some issues.

@greenhorn,

The max discount thats being offered for no alloys is 18k. I got 14k additional discount on top of that.

@muni,

Refinement: I would say when the car is started, Swift was more silent. Vista makes a little more sound.
Power: I felt vista is more powered than swift may be because of additional torque, which is a boon to drive in city traffic. Havent taken it on highway but soon would try that too.
FE: I have to get the results as soon as I refill. Its my first tank-up running.

I feel vista is a better choice over swift, not that I own it so I am vouching for it, but seriously - it has better space, better features (tilt steering, driver height adjust, no waiting period, bluetooth player, better visibility etc.). Rest I would keep posted as soon as I keep discovering.

That explains the seemingly huge discount Still 18K is not bad at all.

Hi Experts,

I need an advice, my vista QJD service indicator keeps "on" even after cranking the engine. I usually keep engine idle for 30 secs before moving and same when I come to stop at home.

The light keeps "on" even after starting the engine and after running for 3-4 minutes if I shut and crank the engine again - its gone. Then the light goes "off".

Please advice if its an issue. All vista owners, please advise.

@ Update:

I completed some highway journeys and average that I got is 19.41 km/l. I think its pretty decent since engine oil has not been changed as yet.

Changed the stock headlight bulbs to Philips Crystal vision 4300K bulbs, the light is far far better now and road visibility is great. There are separate bulbs for high and low beam (H1 and H7), so effectively 4 bulbs had to be replaced and it was not a DIY job.

I also recieved a special anniversary edition number plates from Pune Tata Motors, it has a golden trim on its borders and numbers are written with some rubbery thing - looks quite good compared to usual number plates. Would post the pictures soon.

In your latest update, you have not mentioned anything about this.

Did you check with the service centre? Has it been looked into?

Rajesh,

Its already been taken care of. There were some rail pressure issues and it was rectified within 2 hours at the service center. No more issues.
