He also promised that the salesman will get back to me on exact pricing etc. for the 4x4 SLE variant.

Can you confirm this is the new model 'Muscular' Scorpio? Or is it the old model with the MHawk engine and 4x4?

This cant be true. He is selling you the 2.6 sle.

Congrats on the purchase... had fun with the pics and the desc given till now. wAiting for the rest and the drive report as well

From which showroom did you purchase the scorpio?

Hey RL,

What about the registration? Done yet or not?

Potholes are masked for sure. But still a bit of bobbing. Am comparing solely to a Sedan here. Honestly, you cannot expect Sedan like performance from an SUV like this. Maybe something longer and broader, and thus more planted will definitely not bob as much.

The seats are MUCH better. Like I had mentioned earlier - more buckety, better thigh support and very good lumbar support. You feel pretty snug in her.

Ride quality has improved because the suspension has been tuned by Lotus in the UK because of the new , 70 kg lighter mHawk engine upfront. Now under hard braking, the car does not lurch front as opposed to the 2.6's.

agree: Red Liner thats true. Refresh has it all. Its refreshed on its outer bodyline but the facts you mentioned are very true and are derived from the recently done up suspension job.The seats are comfy too. Only the second row leg space is a sore point if at all we have tall front seat occupants, who shift the front seats for their own front leg space.

when i saw the colour. i too was confused about the thought process behind choosing it.

but you explained it all in a very good way. congratulations.

Last week i was at the MM showroom to check out the new scorpio. The new scorpio definitely looks more muscular than the outgoing model. The remote OVRMs is a welcome change. Since MM calls this SUV hitech with all the gizmoz, i was wondering if they could provide some more toys.
- height adjustable driver seat.
- a light in the glove box. At least i never noticed it in the vehicle i saw (correct me if i am wrong)
- Another useful feature thats good to have on a SUV is the pneumatic assisted bonnet. The hooked rod for holding the bonnet definitely doesnt gel with all the gizmoz inside the car.

i am sure these small things dont cost much.

Went this morning to get it done. God, huge whole load of trouble. I will describe each and everything in a damn thread dedicated to it. I have to get there tomorrow morning again to complete it. Wish me luck.

I will have the tall people sit in the last row of seats and make them suffer. Dont they usually get all the girls at the club?

I tell you, we should stop scrimping like this. Just work hard for 2 years, make a bucket load of money and get a Cayenne. No more whining thereafter!

I guess to save for Cayenne (moving from Scorp) it would take more than 2 years for sure. :OT

Is there any difference in middle seat space in this new Mighty muscular scorpio?

-MUKE

And once we've saved and saved and finally bought the Cayenne, we'll never dare to take it out on our roads! Again, the search will begin for a usable daily use fun car! :D

Why Cayenne? The Safari (EX & above) comes with those 'desired' features :D

Nope, its the same. However, the seats themselves are quite different and offer better support

But we prefer driving on routes that dont necessarily have Authoried service centres on the map...imagine the day when TATA Safari owners only drive on highways that have the TATA ASC :D Jus ribbin bro.

You mean "don't have the TASC", right? Sigh, sadly a lot of the Safari owners on this forum are content with reclaiming their neighbourhood, the mall, the zoo etc. :D

I think all SUVs should come with a "CHECK & REPLACE DRIVER" light on the dash. lol:
