Congrats on the new ride, bro! The Fiesta looks great in black.

I had upgraded my headlights to 90/100 from my service center when the car was in its warranty period. They never told me anything about the warranty being void. More over, the installation was neat.

God bless Enzo! Drive safe buddy!

WOW! The body kit looks really neat on the black Fiesta, especially the side skirts. And I just love the design of the alloys. This car is better to drive than any of its current competitors. So have lots of FUN !!!

Wow! Thats a neat bargain you got yourself buddy. Congrats.
The 'S' costs 8.47L in Bombay.

How much was the corporate discount?

Have fun!

Great looking car. I had a TD of this a few months back and it was a breathtaking experience. Hope you will have a wonderful time with this beast.

PS. Please remove those plastic covers from the seats. Looks...ahem..!

Congrats dude on your new car. Sad that you had to do away with the 1.6 rocam but I guess this is the most fitting replacement. Great buy.

Happy driving
Cheers

@hiren.mistry
The OTR price in Chennai was around 8.21! I got it for 7.52! So thats a whooping 70K

@Vasoo
Thanks man! Those plastic covers are already gone

@Petrol_Head
Man, it was a difficult moment when I hard to part ways with the Ikon. I am still getting used to the 1.6S.

cool ride

hey, dats one heck of a car.A few questions
Am planning to buy an EXI, will it give the same performance ? howz the fuel consumption figures ??

Does it give the same seat of the pants gforce feeling of the ikon 1.6?

Did you also do a compero with the SX4 ? guess it has more bhp.

@Anachronix : Excellent Buy !! Congrats. Welcome to the 1.6S club.

I bought one in Aquarius Blue last month. Was always wondering how Black would look with Side Body kits and Spoiler. Looks Neat

Suggestion: Remove the Ford dealer sticker thats pasted at the back. It will look much better

@Gitartha;
In this same thread you can find a small comparo between the Ikon1.6 & the Fiesta1.6. Both the cars have different DNA when it comes to the engine & handling. I found the Fiesta1.6 to be more smooth and effecient. The Ikon1.6 has that growl and good amount of torque.

I was not interested in checking the SX4. I simply hated the Swift like interiors in the SX4.

@Nityanand;
Thanks. I was initially worried how a black colour 1.6S would look. But then, I was not disappointed

Today, I am taking my car to the dealer for a headlight power conversion to 100/90. I found the lamps to be too dull to my liking!

Wow! 70K is mega. Good on you.
I might be picking up the Limited edition, will try to talk the dealer into giving me a sizeable discount on S.

Thanks mate. My love for the Fiesta grew a few notches seeing your car.

@Anachronix:

Let me know how the headlights are after the change.

I felt the existing one was ok. I drove 700kms from HYD to VIZAG early this month. While going it was all night drive and felt the Headlights were sufficient. May be because I was driving Santro earlier and felt this is better. Did you try to change the headlight focus upside?

The focus and the spread are just fine. But I get blinded completely when I have oncoming traffic with these lights ON.

Ah...Took my vehicle to the dealer to swap the bulbs for a 100/90 kit. But, to my dismay the technician said the bulbs cannot be changed in a Fiesta. I am not sure what he meant!

Can someone help me find the bulb spec of the Fiesta & is it possible to do this 100/90 conversion without getting deep into the electricals!

He's just found a rather lame excuse to not upgrade your headlamps.
Take it to some accessory shop who will install a relay, and also upgrade your headlamps to 100/90. Keep the stock ones with you as a backup.

IMP : Make sure the install is with the relay, and not sans it. Whole thing including bulbs should cost you about Rs.900/-.
