re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

Thanks @shadows123, @selfdrive, @Peregrine, @rkurup.

I have booked the car at Arya Honda. Hallmark Honda did not have even car for TD or they could tell me when it will be available. They were just behind getting the booking amount and saying they will try to get the car in 4 weeks. I went to see the Jazz and Brio in the evening aroun 5:30. After the TD of Brio he was only forcing me to book Brio, but was nor sure about Jazz.

Experience with Arya Honda - Bhandup was very pleasent one. I visited showroom as I was about to visit R City Mall at ghatkopar and just got the Arya Honda number as it was nearest.

@selfdrive, I will certainly carry Camera with me.

Feeling Good after this process started as it was a long 1.5 years wish to get Jazz.

Vyenky, can imagine the excitement and happiness this has brought to you and your family . Could you extract any discounts from Arya Honda? Also, was Kotak Mahindra the dealer-recommended financier or did you shop around? And yes, on-road cost please. I know too many queries

Thanks,
Rahul

re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

I am trying to get the discount from Arya Honda, but they are not positive about that.
Kotak Mahindra was the dealer recommended financier, I tried with ICICI as my company has Corporate account with them but they were not so impressive and too slow on response.

On road cost is 7,34,000.
I am trying to get some accessories from the dealer as no discounts are being offered. Let's see. I am positive about getting some real useful accessories.

No Problem for queries Rahul.

re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

Anyone went for Waxoyl anti-rust treatment (underbody plus cavities) offered by Honda service centres on the Jazz? I know modern cars don't really need this, but some additional protection may be worth it in coastal areas. What I would specifically like to know is whether this involved any kind of drilling. If yes, then the drilled area might itself become a rust hotspot negating the utility of the anti-rust treatment. Would be grateful if any Jazz owners could share their experiences on this.

I have also told by my executive about Honda authorised Anti-Rust treatment. I am confused whether I should opt for Honda or 3M.

My Dad's 4.5 year old City has no anti rust treatment, and we live in Mumbai's western suburbs so its pretty humid all the time. The car has no sign of rust at all. Even when i purchased my City a 7 months back, i explicitly asked if it was needed and was told that its just something they try to push since most people would buy it, but that its not really needed.

I agree it's not really necessary. However, the way I look at it is that the cost of such treatment is less than 1% of the cost of the vehicle, and the under-body does face a fair amount of abuse in Indian conditions. And so one may consider getting it done provided the treatment itself does not harm the vehicle. Hence the query on whether the treatment involves any kind of drilling.

re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

Mission Jazz activities happened today.

Final Payment Done.
Loan Sanctioned.
Discussion about accessories. At present only full set of rubber mats are promised. And also 10% discount in other if am opting for.
Dealer Antirust brand is Diamond. I will go for 3M.
PU Leather non Fixed seat Cover cost 5,000.
PU Lather fixed seat cover with door trims cost 10,000.

I dont think I will go for any other accessory at this moment.
May decide about Reverse Sensor if required.

Delievery period promised is 3-4 weeks. But I feel it may happen before that.
I have also informed the executive to inform about arrival of car for PDI.

Arya Honda-Bhandup has Black-White Select Jazz in their stock and XMT Ralley Red. If anybody is interested they can contact them.
If required I can provide my executive name also.

My loan got sanctioned really fast. Yesterday morning home varification was done and in the afternoon office varification was finished.

So eagarly waiting for Mission Jazz accomplishment.

re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

SHOCKING NEWS..... ( sorry mods for caps)

Today my executive tried to log a call for my car. Got a below reply from honda.

Production of Jazz is again stopped. They will resume the production after rains. Dealers are informed only to sell cars from stock if available and not to take any order. My loan is also under hold and car order too.
Only after rains Honda will start production of Jazz and then again same old waiting period clearing problem......

I dont know what to say. very furious. Can not get angry with the dealer.
I have asked them to provide me authorised email from Honda. I am going to send strong mail to Honda. I am not sure whether it will help me but Honda must realise customer's plight. After waiting for 1.5 years again story is repeating.... So near so far.....

Dealer says he will provide me right contact details in Honda. If anybody have any email id please share..

If nothing happens then again rethinking the other options.....

Vyenky,
Has to be really disappointing, particularly after that long a wait. Have you confirmed this with any other dealer in the suburbs (Linkway/Solitaire)? Last I heard they were stretched for even a TD vehicle, and the base variant had a 2 month waiting period.

re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

Hallmark Honda called me today about my 1-2 month back Jazz inquiry. I have reminded them about not providing TD vehicle, the lady said "No Sir, we dont have TD vehicle, not sure when we will get it" I said then how can you ask me about what you have decided?.

Will call Linkway/Solitaire tomorrow. Was too busy in the office.

Hi Adroit

Sorry for being late in replying , Vision is the one with camera and 4 reverse sensors.

By the way i took your advice and am now owning a new Jazz X Rallye Red. I have not yet fixed the reverse sensor

The options I have is

1) Convex (camera + sensor + Bluetooth and USB function capable of WMA video playback -- Rs9500/-

2) Honda brand (missed the name) - Replaces existing music system ( ICE as i see in the various postings) , integrates with console, touch screen and navigation - Rs 40,000/-

The new version X does not come with the front grill or the rear spoiler. This is now available as X kit costing Rs10, 000/- Wondering if I should go for it or for the door protector beadings (Rs 40000/-)

Thanks and Regards

re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

Hi

I brought my Jazz X rallye red last month. I find that the doors does not lock automatically unlike it does in cars like i20 when it goes beyond a certain speed limit (40 km/hr i guess) . Any idea if Jazz supports this feature? If so how do i enable it?

Thanks and Regards

This has been discussed several times on this thread. It doesn't support this feature.

Keep trying several dealers. They have so much inventory from the past 2 months. Surely they can find one for you . Dont give up hope

Ya the TD is a problem everywhere. Dont know what Honda is smoking by not giving a TD for TD.
