I have been having this problem for some time but since it occurred very rarely, so I more or less ignored it till now.

Anyone faced a similar problem / inputs on how to fix it?

Thanks

The same issue as happened to me in the honda city. Turning the steering wheel slightly, or keep moving it (in the available range) while turning the key. Definitely works.

Hello,

With the monsoon about to start I am planning to replace wipers of my Honda Jazz. I checked the specs OE provided are 650mm (26") and 350mm (14"0).
Please suggest which brand / model to go for.
Also suggest for what should be ideal tyre pressure for 185/60/R15 tyres. Lately having a feel of a bumpy ride.

Between, teaser for New Honda Jazz is out. Hope to see the lovely car again in market soon

Hello,

Missed to ask couple of queries in my last post.

How often (after how many LM) should I replace semi synthetic oil in car?
Last tim I completely changed was at 66K Km. Now odo reading is 79K Km. Is it time for replacement? I had checked with mechanic during last servicing and he suggested as the oil qualityw as still good. However I am planning to get it serviced from Honda service station and they always suggest replacement directly. So would like to know your opinion.

Also I have observed that my steeing gets moved towards right on it's own. (car doesn't drive straight after removing hands from steering). I have checked tyre pressure. In last servicing (5k KM back) got wheen alignment and balancing done. Kindly suggest what I can check to arrest this issue.

Thanks you in advance for your kind advice.

Hey, from what i know, Synthetic oil is good for about 20k kilometers while mineral should definitely be changed around 5 k. not sure what semi-synthetic is, but taking a median, i guess you should get it changed on this service.

re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

On my recent drive to Kerala, my pollen filter got clogged and the AC blow reduced drastically. I removed the glove lid and removed the filter with ease. I hit filter few times to clear the dust. Didnt help. Took it to a service center and use compressed air and blow came back to normal.

I usually get my filter cleaned along with basic mandatory checks before a long ride. Looks like the roads were too dusty. My car has completed 45,000kms. Still running strong.

I am having a Jazz X (2011 model). I would like to get a Sat Nav for my car replacing the ICE that came with the car. Any suggestions on where I can get it done? (Resident of Bangalore)

At the time of purchasing, the dealer had offered us to choose from two Caska manufactured ICE's both of which were upwards of Rs. 20k. This had functionality of reveres sensor with camera and navigation. I think Caska is Honda authorized, so wiring will not be a problem. You can check out what Caska has to offer at most reputed stores. Maybe you can also check at your dealer.
On the other hand, i would suggest using a separate unit for navigation like mapmyindia or the likes, as they can be used in all your cars and cost a lot less and leaving the existing ICE which i think is good will ensure you don't have to worry about electrical problems and squeaks and rattles.

re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

Caska is the cheapest Charlie out of China and is a favourite with all dealers and resellers for the margins they make on the product line. It has nothing to do with the OEM just that they have designed units incorporating quick coupling sockets/adaptors for the various manufacturer's wiring harnesses.

Re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

Amazing review for a not so amazing car. I am not sure what’s so premium about this. Comparing to the packed i20 is a thumps down for jazz except for its Honda badge and fuel efficiency.

To Add on to the negative.
1.Placing of electric ORVM control, its bettor on door.
2.AC slider makes me remember the first M800 AC car.
3.Absence of a sun glass holder

Yep! Hondas love to rust. My Jazz is rusting at exactly the same place (the bottom door part). Its been a while and the rust hasn't increased. So its left untouched as of now. May be the A.S.S. can help you.

Re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

Hello All,

My 2011 Jazz X has reclining rear seats and a secret compartment in the rear seats. Are these delights there in new Jazz too?
Let me know if anyone has checked out the new model.

Between during my last servicing I switched to Synthetic oil and the in effect ride had got even smoother than before

Also need your advise on tyres for old Jazz. I am currently having Apollo 185 R 15 60. (Speed rating). Have experienced substantial tyre noise above 80kmph. However apart from that no issues. Have driven up to 168 kmph many times on this rubber and it always felt well grounded.
Kindly suggest couple of good tyre options to go for. Desired things- lower Tyre noise, minimum speed rating T, should increase GL at least a bit.

Thanks in advance.

Safety was one of the most important criteria while buying Jazz (I'm sure it is same with lot you as well).

I am worried.
So finally official Honda recalls the Jazz as well. Link from our forums

It says Jazz models from 2009 -2011.

Here is the direct link to the latest recall verification.

I always wondered how is the Jazz spared form this recall since it was one vehicle that was hardly localised.

What is worrying me is that manufacturer cannot handle recalling all the vehicles at the same time so are they staggering the recalls? That is scary since you will be left driving faulty vehicle.

I just checked mine it does not fall under this recall. I have a Nov 2012 model.

Re: Review: 2nd-gen Honda Jazz

I recently noticed that my fuel cover opens when I unlock my car. This is infrequent, has anyone else faced a similar problem? How can I fix this?

I have 2009 jazz.

I have 2009 jazz.

Do you mean lid just unlocks or the lid pops open? The latter is unusual as there is not internal mechanism to open the lid like in other cars. It's a click release lock. No remote release.

I think someone is clicking your lid.
