Took delivery of Rally Red JazzX from Capital Honda, Chennai on the 21st of September :D

What do you think of the blue-black interiors? Do they make the cabin look gloomy? I havent seen a Jazz X yet, and I hope it doesnt makes the cabin look any less premium or cheerful..

Congrats anachronix. The car's interior is a packaging marvel! So much of space and huge glass areas. It rivals many C segment sedans!

And I couldn't find any significant (visible?) area where they have cut costs (1.6L!!). If I were to nitpick then it would be - There's a groove in the roof panel, near the rear view mirror for a interior illumination set but the lamp kit isn't there.

Wow !! Congrats, man. I really love this color on the Jazz - see one parked in GillNagar when I go for my daily walk and always drool over it. And the Jazz is without doubt one of the best (the best, in my view) hatches we have today. The price cut made it more attractive to own. BTW, what about your current car ? Or is this for wifey ? So, after Ajo, we have another of Chennai tbhp-ians owning the Jazz.

I love dark/black interiors in my car and that is one prime reason for deciding on the X-MT over its beige siblings. The interior finish is awesome and it really looks like upmarket. Dont know if I have to call it premium but its more cheerful for me :D

The S would stay for now time until I find a decent upgrade to a diesel sedan. Yes, this car was specifically bought for my wife!

I had also booked a jazz X Silver from Capital Honda on August 22nd.Capital Honda assured delivery within a month.However, they now advise me that deliveries are likely to happen only in after September.

Congrats Anachronix, the Jazz X is an awesome buy at the current prices and definitely the best for ladies considering its ease of driving and the large glass area for added visibility. The Rallye Red with Gun Metal alloys is a stunning combination I must say.

Have you got any freebies / corporate discount from them and what accessories have you planned?

Even if you don't create a thread, do update about the FE - that is one thing I am very interested in. And, BTW, what were the other shortlisted cars before you zeroed in on the Jazz. Also, was the price-cut a major factor in tilting towards the red-beauty ?

How come the corporate discount is not standard across all dealers. If Capital Honda in Chennai is giving 5k off, why is Sundaram Honda in Hyd giving only 3k off and I have read somewhere that it is 2k in Mumbai.
Is this not Company(Honda) driven?

corporate discount is offered in 3 tiers as decided by honda. They categorize the companies as Platinum, Gold, Silver and offer discounts accordingly.

from what i know, for Jazz, the corp disc are 5k, 4k, 3k respectively. This should be the same throughout india depending on your company category with honda.

Linkway Honda, Andheri just informed me that the waiting period for the Jazz is 4 - 5 months!! Also, no discounts (corporate or otherwise) and definitely no freebies...:Frustrati He said they get only about 12 cars per month and with 60+ bookings, the waiting period is 4 - 5 months.

Mumbai guys, what do the other dealers have to say about the waiting period? Also, anyone manage to get any discounts?

On a side note, the SA mentioned that the Brio should be in showrooms by this month end and that Jazz production is likely to go up in November.

I have been wondering about the same.
Apparently, according to the dealer here in Pune it may vary from state to state as it depends on the road tax, registration fees applicable, etc.
