White Ritz VDi - Delivery taken!

Hi All,

Finally i booked a White Ritz VDi today (6/20) and delivery will be after ten days. Thanks to TBHP experts for your advice in deciding between Swift and Ritz. I chose Ritz since it is fresh in India compared to Swift which is 4 yrs old. Finally i have few questions on accessories and Tyres

1) Is it worth to go for MGA accessories like Seat covers and Remote lock?
a) Art leather seat cover - Rs 4500/-
b) Remote lock - Rs 5500/-

2) Factory fitted Tyres which are not adequate (165/80R14), which is the best profile i can go ? Show room person says, he can take the original tyres for Rs1200 per piece. Is it OK?

I will post the pics after i take delivery.

Thanks

Congrats funda2max on your purchase.

About the accessories, if they are providing it as a freebie, I would suggest go for it. If you are paying for it, I would suggest look for aftermarket options too. The prices seem ok, but since you have almost 10 days before you take delivery, you can look around for the best deal.

Sunfilm would also be a sensible addition to your list of accessories required.

About the rubber, I would suggest Michelin XM1+, super quiet tires with almost no road noise. You can look up the tire forum to decide on the best upsize or refer to the tire size calculator, HERE

All the best mate!!
Looking forward to the detailed review. Do take the printout of the TBHP checklist along for the PDI.

1200 per tyre is a good deal.

Thanks buddy! Yes, I will stick the sun films (V-Kool). XM1+ is a good tyre. I will inquire that also. Can you please point the TBHP checklist for the PDI?

Thanks again!

Here you go mate, Team-BHP Pre-delivery and Inspection checklist
Do some editing and get it in an excel spreadsheet, that way it will be easier to read and check.

congrats buddy. Good to go with latest models and latest engines.

I like the front look of Ritz. Really good. But the back is somehow a letdown.

Yes, I agree. Rear design is little awkward and funky as well. But i feel the looks are subjective.

Congrats on your purchase. I am sure it is going to be a silent hit like Wagon R. Can I know what is the final OTR price?

OTR in Mangalore - 5,80,145 (Since delivery in Bangalore takes more than 2 months for Ritz diesel, i booked in Mangalore)

Ahhh. finally a Ritz buyer on this forum. All we are getting is how badly priced th Jazz is and how mind blowing the Punto is. I took delivery of my Ritz zxi on the day you booked. Could not drive much (was out of town). As far as accessories are concerned, showroom accessories are costly. I went for the MGA accesories of floor mat, mud flaps, door sil guard. The free mud flaps and door mats offered (if at all offered) are useless and ugly looking esp. the mud flaps. I thought quiet a lot about the side guard but since the car is of white color I did not want to take a risk of spoiling the white beauty. Other things you can install at your own pace esp. the seat cover. I went for crushed leather at half the price from outside.

1200 is quite low, I got Rs.2000/tyre for my i10 stock tyres in exchange for XM1+

Delivery taken on 6/29

I have taken delivery today and performed pooja at Mangaladevi temple as well. Here are some exterior pictures attached. Tomorrow or Wednesday i will write a detailed initial report comparing Ritz and Fiesta TDCi (yes, Fiesta!) as well. I am taking it to long journey towards Bangalore tomorrow.

Thanks very much for your comments and suggestions in clearing my doubts.
