I advise u to change the tires immediately. Running this car on stock tires is suicidal.

Have fun, Drive safe.
All gears seem notchy. Want to drive my friend's karadi to check if that's how it is supposed to be!

Tyre change...lil stretched for money right now mate. Will have to wait 6 months atleast now.

Thanks Shyam. The wheel lock happened in emergency braking. Else, I have felt pretty secure with the braking. Guess I will need to learn engine braking soon. Never used it before.

Thanks Shanty. Karadi is Bear in Kannada. Derived from CRDi.

Are you still running your "1.1 CRDi" on stock tyres? Any advice on how to tame the beast? Esp with respect to engine/ clutch braking?

Getz CRDI is a great buy, especially with current price.

Anyway, what FE you are getting?

Enjoy the car.

Yes, Gabbar is still on stock wheels & tyres But I cope with it since I plan on a slightly longer distance to stop than normal. And engine braking is not of much use in Diesels so I avoid it, mostly.

Still on my first tank mate. About 270 km run with the needle well over the half-way mark on the fuel indicator.

Wont make "tyre-guru-on-stocks" puns here! I am sure you have had enough of those!

Yeah...engine braking seems non-existent in Karadi. Once in the turbo-zone, she doesn't seem to like braking much! Just a matter of getting used to it I guess...

Got a leather steering wrap for 500 bucks. Doesn't match the interiors very nicely, but what a difference it makes to driving comfort! I think it is just TBHP which is making me ultra-sensitive to the smallest change!

Getting really itchy to let her loose on an empty stretch of highway. Might be doing a trip to Horsley Hills over the weekend. Any one who has done this trip? Any advice?

Try exchanging stock tyres, mate.

here in delhi they give around 2500 for goodyear GPS2 tube type tyres (for one tyre)

and i think a good tubeless should cost around 3300 rs.

so there you go, you could replace all the five with just 4000 rs (app.).

the sooner you get your tyres exchanges the better return would you get.

Really?? I thought it would cost me about 15k to replace!

What would be the optimal upgrade for the stock rims?

yea, or better still have only 4 tubeless for 3200

i think i am going to go with 185/65 yokohama a-drive for upgrade on stock rims.

dont go for 195 because for them the getz crdi rim of 5j width is not optimal

had the rim size been 5.5j you could have gone for a perfect 195/60 combination

but do change to tubeless ASAP

Congrats on the buy indigoedge. The Getz CRDi is absolute VFM now. Add some tints and she will look hot.

I cannot tell you how tempted i am to swap my Palio for the Getz CRDi. At this price, nothing else comes close.
