Haven't posted in a bit,but now is a good time.
The odo is at 5000 kms,and well i have no issues with the car whatsoever.
Problem is i had nothing to write about all this while,i was/am loving the ownership, therefore the lack of any updates.

The 1st service was done at 3000 kms,and all the minor niggles of the car had been sorted out. After the run-in ended,or rather i decided to end it,i have been pushing the car and it is running quite well.
Only one minor issue the central a/c vent is stuck!!It just won't budge, the sliding mechanism that is.

Well just now,in fact an hour and a half ago, well,my first 'accident' in this car.
The scene- chandani chowk, the culprit- a metal insert at the side of the road divider and a 'vikram'.
The vikram completely squeezed the car from the left, and i had to make a slight right movement towards the divider, and ta-da!!!CONTACT!!
The metal insert at the side of the divider cut through my right front tyre, and the tyre lost all pressure, the alloy was scraped, but thankfully it wasn't broken.
I changed the tyre,[damn this car is heavy],but the steering was in a 45 degree position, all the while back to home which, ahem, was 20 kms away.
So i drove back,at the speed of 10km/hr,with the front suspension making a noise very similar to a dog's cry.

Pardon my lack of any knowledge, regarding these situations.
Can i go in for an insurance claim in such a case?there is no damage to the exterior of the car.

What do you think has happened, has the axle been damaged,or the suspension?the steering definitely needs to be corrected.
I called up the 24 hour help line and vola!! they hung up without even taking the call,so much for "24 hours".

Some help required here team, won;t be able to sleep all night, and the first thing in the morning is to somehow take the car to the showroom which is 40 kms away!!
And prime-time diwali days, where i need/needed the car the most.

@smilenow: I know this is a difficult time for you, because I have been through similar situation. My car spent a week at Samyak because of the National Insurance guy not turning up. But know this: it will end well. Take heart in that.

One further thing (mentioning this so that you don't get a surprise later): since the estimate is quite heavy, the surveryor would most likely demand a reinspection before the car leaves the garage. You may expect a delay of a day or two, even when the repair job itself is complete.

So, be mentally prepared that the car may be back home after Diwali, and concentrate on the celebrations instead. That should help you in keeping cool.
