Absolutely. Its sheer underplayed good looks are a winner. The more you look at it, the more you are attracted to it, unlike the in your face - yuppy style of the Q-7.

The 3 still fits somewhere but the C??Oh My God!! I just hate it.

No car yet so no pics. Delivery was delayed for some reason and the new date is set for the 27th of Aug. Will update with pics and impressions shortly thereafter.

Audi has finally arrived!

Hi all,

The wait has been painful but worth it, finally got delivery of the car last Friday. Let me begin with the buying experience:

As mentioned in my first post, the buying part was reasonably smooth, the delivery on the other hand was fraught with issues. Without going into too many details, suffice it to say that the delivery was postponed/delayed 4 times!! The original delivery date was the 12th of Aug, I finally got the car on the 29th - and that too after kicking and screaming. The only silver lining was the fact that they threw in some free accessories to compensate for the delay (but only after I insisted on some compensation).

Anyway, the car is home and is wonderful. I have only managed to log about 50 or so Kms since getting the car but those have been very enjoyable. As expected, the car came with tyres that were severely over-pressurized making the car drive like a rock, a quick adjustment made all the difference in the world and the true handling of the car came alive.

The features are simply awesome. Am currently going through the manual to figure out all the nuances and that alone will take a few hours more of reading and playing around with the settings.

For the moment here are some pics. Will add some driving impressions after I get a chance to drive some more and maybe even get in a quick run on the Mumbai Pune expressway.

*Gulp* my lower jaw dropped when I saw pictures 1, 3 and 5. The meters & pearl headlamps, in particular, look fascinating. Well clicked pictures, what camera?

This is not the first time I am hearing of Audi botching up deliveries. I think its more to do with the limited supplies of cars, but even then, they do sour up what is supposed to be a great occasion.

That said, I'm sure the car more than made up for it, wot?

You have all of us turning green with envy. Congratulations, drive safe and do update us with a detailed drive report.

Diesel rules again! Was surprised when I read this.

The queer thing that i have seen in audi's is how the speed grading suddenly jumps from 60-80 to 80-120.

The Pics are stunning to say the least. The 3 pic is wall paper material.Congrats.We are all green with envy!

Congrats ! The car looks great. What made you pick the 2.0 TFSI over the 1.8 ? Figures suggest the timings aren't very different.
