Excellent car there ! At this price she is a steal. Congrats mate ! Not everyone is as lucky as you are ! Enjoy and drive safe.

I am sure she has been well kept and doesn't look like a 6 year old car. Fantastic shade too !

Excellent buy for 3.55L, now i feel like a moron buying an i10 AT for 4.6L odd (stock i.e.). I love the workhorse quality and reliability of Toyota's & hope you have a long Cargasmic (Like Frank says) relationship with your car.

Cheerio

Whoa! this is a steal. I was about to get a '04 model (H5, 43K run) for myself for about 5.25 L in Bangalore. The deal didn't work out in the end, and, I'm so happy or else I would have died of jealousy.

Well cars are more expensive in Bangy. Unfortunate for us. I doubt if this sort of a deal will ever exist here.

Great deal Micky. Just at the Ramadaan meet we were discussing your wanting to get a Toyota and here it is. Great. If you are modding it, let me tell you there is no better sounding free flow that one on a corolla....er besides one which one plonked on Fiats.

My friend just got a late 2005 Corolla, the new one with the controls on the steering wheel, its done 43K but is auto, he paid 5.80 for it.

Great choice on the shoes. I have similar shoes on my Swift and they are bloody good.

Now post a driving report bud.

For starters, I'd like to list a few pros and cons about owning a corolla from my point of view and the experience that I've had in the past few days.

Cons are 1) harsh / stiff ride quality compared to others in the same segment.
2) handling seems slightly feeble at speeds beyond 140.
3) in the H2 variant there is a console lid above the ashtray that cannot be fixed once broken, not that mine has. But an observation.
4) gear box is a tad notchy.
5) glove console once loose cant be fixed
6) compared to the hondas' high speed cornering has a lot more weight strain and body roll.

Pros..where do i start?? UMM...

a) bulletproof engine
b) insane acceleration / torque for its class.
c) tight body structure / build quality.
d) electric everything. LOL!
e) cheap spare parts. / easily available.
f) EFFICIENCY is excellent.
g) great gear ratios.
h) excellent ground clearance.
I) brilliant visibility
J) superb Climate control system.
K) silent cabin zone and minimal engine sound.

and so much more.. All in all it's what I've always wanted in India. Took her upto 6K revs today for the first time in the second, gotta say she's got juice even after 43K kms.

Thanks Toyota for all your research and development. It pays off everytime.

For the record mileage for this week reported at 12.5 avg per litre with the aircon set to 19 degrees and low fan speed. shifts were made at 2500 revs or less.
1st to 2nd 2.5k rev change
2nd to 3rd usually at 2.5K
3rd to 4th 2.3K
maximum gear used 3rd.
