Since it already beeps when you leave the headlights on while getting out of the car, i think the same can be used to lock/unlock audible indication as well. Just don't know how to link it up.
Wouldnt that beep be audible just inside the car? I usually lock my car when I am a few feet away and I doubt if I can hear that 'headlight on' warning beep from outside. Need to check it out though.

@Hummer Guy, congrats! Your car looks great. Start a separate ownership thread and update it with your delivery experience and better pics. Do it right away and we will have three 1.6S Aquarius reviews in the same page. You seem to have quite a collection of bikes!

Guys, i think the beep was understood here . If you look at the procedure to test Antihijack function it says that we would be hearing a beep and then when we unlock another beep would be heard to inform us that the system was ready. But nothing of that sort happened.

The headlight switched on beep which we hear wont be audible if we are outside the car and if the door is locked. It would be audible only if you are alone in a super silent environment which would be tough to find in our cities

That's why hooking up the horn would be a better idea. Now who is going to try this. Shaju?

The headlight on beep would come on as soon as you remove your keys when the headlight is on, I'm sure you cant miss that in any environment.

Guys please stop experimenting !

It was actually a PDF file with 7 tips right from anti-hijack, window one-touch, 2 stage locking/unlocking, new key programming etc. but only 3 of them are applicable to the Indian Fiesta, so I am quoting them here:

1.Self Diagnostics Mode

The Self Diagnostics Mode gives you in-depth information about your engine and the actual numbers in digital. To use it, follow the steps:

1. Insert Key but do not turn it on
2. Press and hold the Trip Meter Reset Button
3. While holding the reset button, Turn ignition until dash lights come on and continue holding the button
4. Within 10 seconds, the display should change to "test" in LCD font and the needles will do a full sweeping.
5. Release the Button
6. Pressing the button will now cycle through some 17 different modes
* 1. Shows a Gauge Sweep
* 2. Shows all 8's on the LCD (LCD TEST)
* 3. Illuminates all the bulbs on the dash
* 4. Displays hexadecimal value for ROM level
* 5. Displays the hexadecimal value for EE level
* 6. Shows DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code)
* 7. Digital Speedometer - mph
* 8. Digital Speedometer - kph
* 9. N/A
* 10. Digital tachometer
* 11. Fuel volume
* 12. Engine coolant temperature
* 13. Battery voltage
* 14. ABS fail
* 15. Electronic brake distribution (EBD) failure
* 16. Illumination
* 17. Crank Sense

2. Two Stage Unlocking
Press both Lock and Unlock buttons on your key at the same time, wait until the indicator lights flash once. When complete, two stage unlocking will be activated / deactivated accordingly.

Third point is about new Key programming, I dont think we do it ourselves anyway, so omitting that part.

PS: Please test this at your own risk, I dont think these are mentioned anywhere in our manuals. I will anyway check them this weekend.
Dear Fiestians, although my first post on the tips were very clear in its content, some of you seem to have got the original PDF file which was conveyed to each other by someone or other and got the wrong impression that all the features are to be tested successfully. But, sadly its not, only 3 are applicable to Indian Fiesta and it was very clear in my first post quoted above (posted on 18th Novermber 2009). So, please stop wasting your time on experiments anything other than the above 3 points. Third point is programming a new key (a 3rd one) while you have the original 2 keys. Thats the reason I didnt elaborate that point much.

All the points in the original pdf file are great but Indian Fiesta is not enabled with them. So, lets move on sharing some useful and hidden functions (exclusive in Indian versions) that are not advertised nor recognised by the owners.

I use an old tooth brush to clean the hive (looks like one, right!) A tedious job though. The chrome part forming the border just needs a wet wipe and its bright again. You have black Fiesta eh, God be with you. I've one and have taken an oath not to go for black ever again.

Ha Ha, Unni, my Morello is almost equal to black when it comes to cleaning part. It projects even the lightest dust layer. My previous car was Silver and I think silver is the last car to be cleaned 'look'-wise. It hides dust well. I feel less strained with my Jopasu duster, as it does a very neat job on the Morello. I am sure, I would have felt exhausted without it.

But the jopasu fellow is ran away. LOL
I think, Ebay has removed his listings (believe complaints from some buyers).
So you are lucky that you got one.
Now, am hoping this product will come back to ebay listing soon?

Nothing to worry, just go to Jopasu Car Care Products India select the product you want and click the 'contact us' page, I am sure they will suggest you some solutions to get the products at your door step. Its not just ebay, but I have seen their products in different online purchase sites. According to me, if you use the duster with care, it can last you atleast 2 yrs or more.

PS: I spoke to the guy in-charge (for our dear members), there were some negative feedbacks from those who ordered in the festive season, because the delivery commitments went for a toss in the Diwali time (due to excess demand) and the matter is settled now, it will be re-listed in ebay within couple of days.

Okay thanks above.
Will see what are the other alternate ways to get this product.

Earlier, some one else also talked to the guy and the same story (i.e re-listing will be in couple of days - but even more than a week now but ?) as it seems once a company is black-listed by ebay,then it is bit difficult to get back into their listing !

Guys - Need some clarification on water logging inside the car. When i was doing the seat fitment incidentaly i tried to look at my VIN number which was below the carpet and when i pressed the carpet i can see water coming out of that carpet. This happens only on the Driver side..passenger side does not have any water logging.

Is this normal ? Because i havent seen such a water log in my esteem even when water came into the vehicle and it just dried out.

You all know that it was raining in Chennai for sometime and i had ensured that the car is not taken in water logged area but still i could find some water logging inside the car and for past 2 days its not raining and the water has not dried or gone out of the car. I am worried because this water might start the rusting process, Please help if this needs to be taken up to the service center.

@moonraker

Water in your car -inside bottom of driver side?
Was there trace of water or only the mat was wet?

Normally it should not happen (water accumulation under the carpet).
If the problem is still there it is better to take the car to the service centre and
check properly (otherwise soon the carpet may get stinking -due to continuous wet
condition)

Attend to this immediately as it could lead to rusting and damage the carpets. Infact the carpets may start to stink. I am not sure how water went in, could be from some gap near the Steering column or any of the pedals. I did not take my car in the rains as I was using my dependable Matiz. I did take it once but there was hardly any water, I will check and let you know if there any signs of water.
