Regarding ICE setup - HU - Sony CDX GT969UI, all 4 Sony 4-way 300 Watt speakers (XS-GT16402) cost me Rs. 14000/-. This setup may not be liked by Gurus on paper. But practically I'm satisfied with the result, good clarity, good puch, I think worth the money spent.

The Dolphin Seat covers with one year warranty - Rs. 3800/-. This is PU seat covers thus, become hot when parked outside but becomes normal within few seconds as soon as you on the AC.

All the best.

Color difference between body and engine casing

Hi gaddiwale,
Sorry for being .
I have book a RITZ VDI and I am expecting a delivery tomorrow. As per the Team BHP check list, I made a thorough check of the car before registration. I am suddenly growing suspicious about the color difference between the body and the engine casing under the bonnet. The color that I have book is firebrick red (the same color as yours). Can you please check if there is a difference in your car?!

I have attached the pictures of the body and engine casing. Please let me know if this is normal.

Hi Varunps first of all congrats. Don't worry, as Eddy also mentioned it is normal. In FB Red the engine bay as well as the some portion of under body is comes in orange paint as shown in your photos.

Please upload some photos of your Ritz after the delivery.

Hey Varun you can ask our fellow BHPian Wildon (Forum Technical Stuff) with the VIN (appeared in the 2nd photo) to check the manufacturing date and other info.

Thanks brother for the update .

Good combination buddy. Even ICE gurus also recommend the set up most of the times. Keep us updated. All the best.

ScanGauge II for my Ritz VDi

Guys today I got my ScanGauge II for my Ritz. Just finished installation, sharing some of the photos. Lot of fucntions are there and it'll take couple of days to get used to with the system. I must say it's a cool gadget.

Thanks to our fellow bhpian Rohitrk who was kind enough to test his SGII in my car during our last Mumbai-Pune meet, to check the compatibility of SGII with Ritz.

Yes indeed it's cool stuff. For SGII's features please go to post#16 of this thread. Got it from Australia for AU $ 169 + postage + Custom Duty.

ScanGauge II - Performance

Today I've comapred the rpm and kmph reading of Ritz's analogue system with ScanGauge II's reading - happy with the precision of the analogue system. Almost all the gauges are working, except - Fuel system loop (LP), Fuel pressure (FPR) [according to SG II - very few cars report this.].

Currently I've setted - Intake Air Temp (IA), Coolent Temp (WT), Bhp and Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP). BHP gauge is not built-in, I've created that in X-gauge.

Ritz doesn't have a Temp. gauge, thus IA and WT gauges are boon. The operating temp of DDiS engine is 86 degree C and to reach that you have to run the engine at idle for quite some time or run the car in low rpm for few kms. Exact figures I'll post in couple of days time.

MAP is actually Atomspheric pressure (14.7 psi @ sea level) + Turbo Boost. Tomorrow I'll creat the gauge for only Turbo Boost in X-gauge. An excellent gauge - you can make out when turbo get started with the help of this gauge and how much boost is generated.

Not yet caliberate the trip and fuel gauge.

One can creat the backlight colour according to the dash light colour. Nice stuff I should say and worth spending the money.

Posting two photos (sorry for the poor quality, taken by Nokia E63).

Cool gadget.

Few questions.

1) Will Scanguage work on Swift D?

2) What is the logic(formula) behind the BHP calculation?
