Looks better in pic. Not so in person.
The figo is having a best in class service schedule period of 1 year, as per ford.

Today went to see Figo, looks alright to me and going to book the car after test drive becuase I have postpone my purchase from March to end May and not in hurry to book before test drive.
Otherwise its very roomy and if priced at 4.5 petrol topend, it has sure buyer as me. |
Better to do a TD with atleast 4 adults to get the real feel of the power :)
Just went to showroom to check out Figo in person. Saw the official notice displaying 15.6 kmpl for Petrol and 20.0 kmpl for Diesel.
someone in the previous posts mentioned about the a/c condensor being too close to the front fender. Thats actually true and its way too close to survive a head on hit. The fiesta is well placed in this aspect. BTW, i checked with the service folks at ford and he mentioned that the a/c condenser damage repair/replacement on fiesta costs about 10k!
I found the car pretty good tho. the niggles have been listed to death but for the price thats being quoted for the diesel, i think i could live with these minor niggles. and squeeze looks great and so does the coral dash! :D
What's the service interval of the Figo ? 5K/6 months ?
^ I think the dealers always exaggerate the figures to some extent.

1st service - 5k/3months (or 6? cant remember) and then on 10k/1yr.
Probably off topic here. I had registered on the MANZA site, as well as spoke with a few sales guys, and they all promptly forgot me. I also called up the FORD dealership ( Shreeji FORD, Thane ) last week, and today got a very polite and persuasive invite to the showroom. Probably a proof of the renewed customer focus by FORD to really make a success out of this launch

I was told 1st service is after 1 year by the salesman at dealership effectively minimizing your visits and your maintenance cost..

Which city are we talking about here ? Fiesta TDCi gives 18+ here in Chandigarh!! |
I suppose thats quite possible in chandigarh with the roads and the traffic there. If you can maintain moderate speeds in high gears then its definitely possible to get that much :)

Those must be the ARAI figures. In comparison, for the petrol versions the ARAI mileage for Polo/Ritz/Swift are 17.2/17.7/17.9 respectively. So its clear that the figo petrol isnt very fuel efficient. This is surprising as its a 4 pot DOHC motor compared to the Polo which is 3 pot SOHC. It makes only 70 hp and i had guessed it was low because ford had tuned it for FE. Clearly i was wrong. The Diesel figure is good but not exemplary. Even the bigger manza is rated at 21 kmpl
Is there a height adjustable seat accessory available for figo as an extra fitting for lower varients?

There is no optional-pack to any variants per the sales guy at Pune.
And btw, the seat is not exactly height adjustible. Its actually depth adjustible or something! The seat height remains the same all thru. When you jack the seat up or down, its only the rear of the seat where your bums fit it, that moves up or down. So basically you can adjust the degree of depth of the seat and not the height.

Afaik thats how it works in all if not most cars, the entire seat does not move up, just the rear of the seat. In the end you are seated higher up right?

I mostly (90%) drive alone in hatchback and use Linea for the family ride and at the age of 46, I am very sober driver.
Those were the days when I had Yamaha 350 cc in the 1983 and are gone for me. 71 PS of power is enough for city driving. Also I pay fuel bills and no body else so FE is more of concern than racing.
