A very good and to the point review Sid.
We should now see a slight increase in the Vista's sales due to the addition of the long due safety features.

Thank you Sid for the review. In one of the pictures we can see an Anniversary edition Vista in the background and it looks really good (one can just see the rear half).

I wish there was a way for Tata to give the same Alloy wheels with the top-end Vista. Although I do understand their logic of not doing so.

Regarding the Figo giving it sleepless nights, I think the Vista has it's bases covered, as no other car in the segment can hold a candle to it in terms of interior space. The 1.3MJD nee Quadrajet too is seen by customers as a plus point (although a Fiesta diesel does sound good too).

Sid - Request your attention to the fact mentioned by you with regards to the missing temperature gauge.
Gauge is very much present, but instead of a separate dial, it is presented as part of the display in digital format as bars.

Good review there, Sid.

The 'Indica' tag to the vista is doing more damage than good. None of my friends want to buy it. They just don't want to be associated with the taxi tag.

Thanks for the detailed review Sid. The Safire Aura+ model makes a strong case for itself with its superb VFM. Hopefully it'll be our first car in the family soon

So, it'll be only the Vista in the big cities then. What happens to the Vista TDi? Will it be upgraded to BS4?

Maybe vista TDI is for the taxi operators, thats why it is only available in base terra and mid level aqua models and yes, it will be upgraded to meet BS4 norms.
Besides, whats the point to really continue with a 11 year old product?

Sid, excellent review. My daily drive back in India is an Indica Vista QuadraJet Aura (my BIL's car and with me until May 2010). I agree with all your observations except on the looks department (I like the looks). I have decided to buy a hatchback and the choice has narrowed down to either a India Vista QJet Aura + or Ford Figo Titanium. If only Tata improves the fit and finish and of course the A.S.S!!

Sid, very good review and neatly put across. Infact for petrol cars, 1.2 will be a very good buy in terms of value for money. Hope to see them more in T-BHP family in the upcoming days

A very detailed review there. On the space front, its definitely a winner in the price range. Nothing can come close in terms of space other than Jazz when considering only the space. If price is into picture, its Vista all the way

@ Sid: Thanks for a nice and detailed review. So the spacious hatch got safer than before. Would love to see a comparison between Punto and Vista. Hope these safety additions help vista in sales .

I just hope ,TATA gets their after sales services improved .Then im sure, it will be difficult to stop Vista from becoming a awesome small car to own.

Sid, this is an outstanding review. *Rates thread 5 stars*.

I know the effort that goes into compiling such a comprehensive review, having TD'ed so many new launches in the recent past. Thanks a ton for sharing this information with us.
