Sid, does the Aura ABS or the AURA + have steering mounted audio controls?

Nope but they do on the ones they sell in South Africa. I guess it is just a matter of time before they include them here.

superb car

the final cost for vista is much less than its competition if you consider the on road prices. i bought indica vista qudrajet aura in dec 2009.bill breakup

ex showroom 479000
insurance free
road tax 5500 (haryana number)
extended warranty 4450
logistics free
--------------
488950
now discounts, cash discount - 12000
loyalty bonus - 5000
-------------------
total paid 471950
in addition to this pu seat covers, gear lock(auto cop),teflon - antirust coating package ,mud flaps, mats and divinity was free of cost.
now compare this with swift vdi .due to its demand and waiting period there is no question of discounts.its ex showroom in delhi is 501000.
there is no music system. add for insurance, road tax ,logistics, extended warranty, music system, seat covers, etc etc .it will not cost less than 560000. so vista aura is 90000 less than swift vdi. swift vdi with no tilt steering,no height adjustable driver seats ,no defogger, no back wiper and washerno dual tone beige interiors, single mobile charger, cramped rear seats, lesser legroom.
one can talk about resale value. who knows what will be the seen five years down the line.
so the onroad cost of vistas is much less than swift vdi or ritz vdi. a feature rich car at much lower price tag.

I just drove the new BS4 vista aura ABS (some guest had purchased it and visited us) and the driveability and gearshift are much improved. The engine is more silent and smoother than before and the car feels pretty relaxing to drive. Of course, the Indica's strength's of price to space t features ratio remain.
Probably from santro, this could be my next upgrade, but still there is time.It has all what I want and at a superb price tag.
Of course, in red it looks amazing. Only question is, is it possible to fit 15" alloys in the vista?

maybe this is tata's way of forcing folks to buy the vista

Yes, BS4 Vista TDi is coming. The DiCor engine will not be fitted in the V2. In fact, the V2 has been phased out of BS4 cities.

spoke to concorde today and asked about drivetech4. The SP told that the engine was tuned for low emission norms and it is more smooth now. Some alterations are done at the gearbox also to lessen vibrations.

So is this DriveTech4 gearbox the same one used by earlier Vista's? Is it the same as the FIAt gearboxes for the Punto or something else entirely?

you are right. Its a shame that vista struggles to match swift sales inspite of excellent VFM.even figo has rocking sales. Its time TATA get a minor facelifted vista with manza dash and sporty accents, with a palette of new colors.
