Thanks to Jayanth, Raghu and Star, by following what they mentioned in the thread above, I have improved the mileage on my car by 4 points, earlier I was averaging 9.3 kmpl and in this cycle I am seeing it at 9.7 kmpl already and there are two more days before I hit the reserve. The most important points that helped me are:
1. Turn the engine off at traffic signals.
2. Find the sweet spots where the indicator shows the maximum FE and always try to drive within those limits.
Yeh Kalyan,

Good to know it helped, for sure if you follow them, would fetch you a better FE.

Enjoy and drive safe.

Cheers
Raghu

My First week service is due and will be getting it done this weekend.

I have small problem with fuel lid. Sometime it requires to be pressed two / three times to get it closed.

I am thinking of doing the underbody treatment during the first service.

Just wanted to to know if any special points to be taken care during the treatment ?

The dealer has quoted around Rs. 4750 for the treatment (for 3M I think).

Even I had this problem initially, overtime it disappeared.

Regarding the underbody coating, ask them for waxoyl if they have. The advantage with waxoyl is that it sticks like tar and even when there is an underbody scratch you will not have a peeling off effect unlike in 3M.

Kalyan,
Good to hear that your FE has improved. If there is full B2B traffic there is very little you can do help improve FE.

Thanks Adrenalin for your wishes.

First Service:

Meanwhile the 1st service was done last Saturday. I had only one issue with the Fuel Lid. It was not closing with one push.

During the service, the technicain replaced the rubber bush on the push lever and it is OK now.

During the service got underbody protection done. It was from 3M. Honda dealer has tie up with 3M only.

In Kolkata, Waxoyl has tie up only with Ford and Mahindra. Contacted the Ford dealer and nobody was sure whether they will accept other cars for the treatment. The waxoyl distributor indicated he will arrange with the Ford and call me back. But the call never came. So finally settled for 3M with the Honda dealer itself. It cost me Rs. 4191 including taxes.

The warranty details of 3M protection is attched below. 3M will apply 6 coats after first coat, each in every six months.
I am yet to observe any improvement in sound insulation. Will post some picutres of underbody in the weekend.

Pinacle Honda's service was good during the visit. Although the first service had only visual checks, they explained what all checks will be carried out. Car was cleaned properly and ready in the promised time.

Pinnacle Honda is using the SMS technology to the maximum.
  1. I received a welcome SMS before the meeting service advisor (after I gave the details at the security gate).
  2. Next SMS was about delivery time, jobs reported and the approximate cost.
  3. Then when the car was being sent to washing.
  4. Netx was when the car is ready for delivery.
  5. "Thank you" SMS after I left the security gate.
  6. Finally, next day requesting for feedback by mail from their CRM.
I had a talk with their CRM and indicated that all that matter is quality of Service. SMS feedback at every stage are good to have but sometime can be bit irritant.

I guess, being the sole dealer they are making sure that customers remain happy and Honda does not see the need to add a competitior.

I think its 6 inspection not 6 coats, if there is any chipping or removal of coat they will touch up, otherwise its just Inspection. Are you sure they will coat every 6 month. I had done it for my santro recently i saw only about inspection not coats in warranty card.

Even I have got the Waxoyl coating done in Magnum, and everytime I leave the car, they inspect the under chassis and will do a touch up.

You both are right. I called up the dealer and they have confirmed that there will be six scheduled inspection and touch-up will be done if needed.

Regarding warranty point, dealer said so far they have not charged anyone for touch-up job and point is not applied for general scrapes.

Meanwhile, did a highway trip of around 200 kms. Coming from Santro, Highway drive with ANHC was really satisfying, specially while overtaking.

As other members pointed out, in highway drive one can really feel the beauty of the engine and it's power.

The onboard indicator showed an average of 17.9 km/L (driving around 80 -110km /hr speed).

Water ingress through Front windows

Hello ANHC owners,

I am facing following a porblem and would like to know your views before going to the service centre:

I find water droplets in front passenger/driver window (outside), whenever I operate the window. It seems water is sipping inside through the rubber beading during rain.

This problem is there even if there is no rain for three/four days.

Is it normal or should I get it checked at the service center?

Surprisingly, this problem is not there in rear windows.

Hello,

My car is due for second service this weekend. I have clocked around 1800 Kms so far.

So wanted clarify is it necessary to change the oil filter during second service with 1800 Km running?

The manual indicates the oil filter to be changed every 5000km or six months.

This is your second service right? 3months. So don't see why you should replace now. Do it during the 6month 3rd service.

How is your car washed? On a daily basis? By yourself?

Yes it will be second service. Since the Engine oil will be changed, I was thinking whether it' s requried to change the filter also ?

Yes the car is washed daily. It's done by a boy who cleans all other cars in the building.

The above problem, I notice only after a rainy night as car is parked in open space (Not after washing on normal day).

Second Service update

Hi All,

Second service was done during first week of this month. Oil change and other routine was carried out. Cleaning of the car was OK, could have been better.

The SA offered to switch to Sythentic by explaining stuff like sythentic is better, no need to change for 10K km etc. But I told him to stick to mineral oil only (based on all the knowledge gained from discussion on TBHP). The total bill was Rs. 892 (attached).

I had only a minor problem to report about. The driver side door pad had developed a gap. Same was fixed or should I say glued by the technician.

The job was not done properly as it has left some marks and not cleaned. But as I was getting late for an appoitnment, I had to leave. Later on got it cleaned by myself. Pics attached (after service).

While handing over the vehicle for Service, spoke to Sales team about new version of ANHC and they do not have a clue about new version of ANHC with leather seats/sun roof etc. (as discussed on TBHP). Infact they were surprised to hear about that.

I thought of telling them to follow TBHP to know more about ANHC developments. I just asked them sales figure of ANHC for the month of August. All they could tell me is thier local sales, not the overall All india sales.

I had to tell them that Honda City had very good numbers in August and asked them follow their own website atleast.

But they did admit that they are facing heat from Vento, mainly from Diesel option and indicated that they have definitely lost 7 to 10 customers in favour of Vento in the month of August.
