You arent considering HR alloys ? I have seen their designs to be quite good.
That nice smooth road is called as "NICE Road"

Have not done a proper search for alloys. Just went to few shops thats all. I couldnt find HR in any of these places.

Time for Tyre & Alloy change:

With the help of rjstyles, ironwolf and Ashish (Tbhp handle is Addy i guess) i finally decided i will be going for 15". Going for 195/55 R 15. Thanks guys for the help.

Tyres chosen: Pirelli P7 or some other brands.
Alloy brand: Considering from MOMO,Lenso,Konig to Veloche, plati,AVA
Alloy designs: Black with silver lips, all White, if not all black and if no options within my budget then may be silver also

Guys any suggestion? My budget is 35k all together. 5 rims and 4 tyres.

Its been 3 months since i have purchased my car, and almost 3500Kms added to it.

There were some problems earlier like mileage was too less. I was getting around 8-9 in City without ac. Had started a thread also regarding the same sometime back which later got deleted. As per advise from fellow Bhpians i have gone for a full service including flushing, oil change, filter cleaning etc. Not yet changed spark plugs though.

Happened to check mileage last weekend and was really happy with what i have got. 11.3kmpl with 100% city use (in peak time traffic), almost 60-70% ac and shifting gears anywhere in between 1.5k to 5k rpm.

I have not taken variation into consideration though . How much change should i calculate? i have gone for 15" wheels (stock=13")

Should say i am happy with the way car is behaving. It is comfortable and is nice to drive

Congrats dude!

Please post a brief review of the Pirelli P7.

Cost?
Wet/Dry grip?
Noise level?
Ride comfort?
Side walls too hard?

Hey Unknownsatan really awesome mod on you Black Baleno. Simple looks Gorgeous!!

I have always loved the Low slung design of this machine but was pretty upset with the rear design. Personally bro, I would have let that Spoiler be there since IMO that should have been standard to make the rear look "Better" !!
I have seen a Black baleno cruising around Jayanagar 2nd/3rd Block. Wonder if its you doing the rounds here!! LOL

Cost?- 4200

Cannot say much about any of the below as this is the first time i am using low profile tyres. But following are what i feel:
Wet/Dry grip?- Holds well in dry, felt a bit less grip in wet condition
Noise level?- No idea as i hardly drive without music on
Ride comfort?- Pretty good considering it is 15 incher.

Now i can give a proper opinion only if i drive on another tyre. So...

Thanks a ton dude.
Some how i am in love with the plain rear. So removed it.
Well it might very well be me as i stay in JP Nagar (if its too many rounds then its not me).

Can anyone reply for the same? Wanna know if this will be the actual mileage or will there be any difference.

Let me get this right. The 11.3kmpl was got before you switched to wider tyres and you want to know the approx. drop in FE due to wider tyres ?

Wider tyres will surely reduce the FE a bit, but I don't think we have on the forum any info about accurately predicting this drop. I would think the drop would be negligible. So forget that and enjoy the car. :-)

No no. 11.3Kmpl is with wider tyres only. Infact i ran on stock tyres only for a week or so.

But what i wanna know is will there be any meter error (in showing the KMs ran correctly on odo) due to wider tyre by any chance, cos if there is any then even kmpl calculation will differ.

Hope you could understand what i meant.

All you have to do is compare the circumference of the two tyres. The speedometer error will be in proportion to the difference of the circumference. All you have to do is go to your tyre shop and measure both the tyres, do some basic math, calculate the ratio of old tyre circumference to the new tyre circumference, and you get the factor by which to multiply the odometer. If new is longer you will be traveling longer distance for same rotation, but the speed shown will be less.

So ya mean to say if variation is 10km and the speed shown on speedo is 100km/h then the actual speed will be 110km/h?
