Don't bother, it's just not worth the hassle. Learn to live with all the minor scrapes and nicks - they are part and parcel of driving in any overcrowded city - even though you are not at fault.

Wish your son a very speedy recovery!

Cheers,
Vikram

Hi Arjuna, You could take the Scorpio to any of the denting painting shop near Neo club and get it rubbed and polished. It happened quite a lot of times with my Santro and a simple rubbing and polishing would help removing the paint marks.

I was instructed to leave the car at M&M service center for battery charging since my first service was due ,however ASC is refusing to charge and claims that battery will charge on running from alternator and there is no need to charge .

re: My Fiery Black Scorpio SLE. 1year update @ 22,000kms

How did it get drained out? Did you leave the lights on by mistake?

Not sure if the ASC is correct or not, about the battery getting charged on running from alternator. Check this thread, it might have the answer to your question: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...y-last-23.html

Cheers,
Vikram

re: My Fiery Black Scorpio SLE. 1year update @ 22,000kms

none of the lights were on , i think may be the car audio was on and i may have put it in mute and forgot to switch it off , in either case new battery should not drain within 3 months .

re: My Fiery Black Scorpio SLE. 1year update @ 22,000kms

Don't worry much about charging the battery. Make sure to have the A$$ guys check for any kind of electrical issues, have them thoroughly check up the alternator. If these are fixed (if found), that will take care of battery draining out issue.

Cheers,
Rajesh

Help came swiftly from Exide helpline and they had to jumpstart the car .I reached service center at 12pm . My scorp was delivered at 6pm as confirmed .

Car was super clean and they had attened to all my querries,Only issue being rattling on left front passenger door .took extended warranty by paying Rs.9999 .

Now the Car is revving free and clutch / gear play has become more smoother. overall am very satisfied and all set for my summer trips to Blore / vizag / chennai .

2nd service update @ 10180kms

Already my scorp is ready for 2nd service in 5 months , crossed 10,000kms this is byfar my fastest running, earlier on my petrol car 10k was my yearly running mileage .

Been on trips to Srisailam, chennai, vizag etc during last month. The car runs effortless on ghats , a/c is chiller in sweltering vizag & chennai summer . The more am running this car ,more am delighted with my decision to go with the Scorpio. " More Miles , More Smiles and more bang to your money ".

Yesterday gave my car for 2nd service at Automotive Ranigunj. Now My scorpio is running like dream , super smooth .

Total Bill : Rs.1580

1lt engine oil - 236
2lt gear oil - 432
Wurth kit - 52 ( dont know what it is for, was told battery terminal protection and sparying on all doors hinges something like wd-40 )
Windscreen wash 32ml - 86
Engine care & washing - 773.

Car was ready on time as promised ,it was washed spotless on the outside, however inside they had not cleaned properly, the mats were not washed ,even the dried flowers on the ganesha inside were still there . Informed the SA about the messy job and getting the interiors cleaned again today since i had to leave early yesterday.

The SA informed that wheel alignment can be done once in 40k kms and not required to do every 5k kms , is this correct? since i was planning to do rotation, balancing & alignment.

Couple of accs planned on priority:

Reverse cam - already hit couple of scooters and a pedestrian while reversing , my bad.
Aux Lamps.
Front fender mirrors like the one's on F'runner- how useful is this.
Bulls eye on both orvms( convex mirror)
Reflective sticker on rear bumper or should i opt for red Led's

Mods: pls edit the title to 2nd service update @ 10180kms. thanks
