Yes I will post the details of the hotels and cost once I finish the log. Currently for each location I have given the name of the hotel where we stayed and its internet link. If you see the log till now you could get them. We booked by July our stay in December, and we got good rates, we also used all deals on credit and debit cards to the fullest while booking. We got a decent 20% discounts like that on the rack rates.

Mr. Abhay quoted Rs15 per Kilometer, with 250Km per day limits.

Thanks Laluks. I will contact Abhay travels for the vehicle. I find that Rs.15 is quite reasonable. I hope that i get the same price.

We have booked accommodation in Club Mahindra Udaipur and Kumbalgarh. I see that you have had bad experience of stay in Jodhpur. I am still looking for one day accommodation at Jodhpur. Suggestions welcome

If you dont mind a stay in Bishnoi - 30Km from Jodhpur try - Bishnoi village resort. Otherwise make some educated guess of reviews from Makemytrip or Cleartrip or travel portals like that Since early you'll get some good places.

Club Mahindra Kumbalgarh is at an excellent location. You can do an early morning walk to the fort. I guess you are booked there for 2/3 nights as per the CM policy on seasons. Is it a red season that you are traveling?

You can use Club Mahindra Kumbalgarh as your base for Kumbalgarh and Ranakpur visits and the rest of the time get some royal treatment. I did not use my membership this time since we were three families and most of my time shares were fully utilized by then. Also since we never stayed in a place for more than a night, it did not help either.

Yes I intend to stay in CM Kumbalgarh for 3 nights and in CM Udaipur for 2 nights. I will need to stay in Jodhpur proper, so i guess i will have to depend on tripadvisor. I have done Jaipur in the past, so this time its Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Kumbalgarh, Ranakpur, Jodhpur. My brothers family is traveling before us and are covering Agra, Jaipur, Pushkar, Ajmer and Jaisalmer before they join us at Jodhpur

If you have good amount of time in Jodhpur and you like adventure, try zip lining at Mehrangarh fort For me its one in the bucket list as of now.
