Mummy alone on a Camel  Daddy - where is mummy??  4x4 competition - who is better?  Camel Carts  These guys just drove all the way down there, took a camel ride, enjoyed the sunset and left. A campfire and some entertainment programme was about to begin. I could already see some bunch of guys with booze getting ready for the events. Once the events started, I could only stand it for 15 minutes. It was something just for the sake of it, no pleasantness either in the singers nor dancers. I left the place and sat near a huge banyan tree looking at the sky and counting stars!! I was joined by both my firends very soon  Some pictures         Food was served, and easily one of the worst we've had in this trip was from this place.  Indeed money and time wasted, we gave our feedback to the owner, only to end the conversation abruptly. As we were exiting the gate, we were asked to give a feedback on his webpage and facebook  We reached our hotel in Jaisalmer by 22:30hours and went straight to bed. What a long day it was 04:30 to 22:30, 18 hours. Except for this khuri episode, rest of the day was fantastic. |

Our plan was to visit Jaisalmer Fort and the havelis and start to Bishnoi (near Jodhpur) by noon so as to reach there by 15:00hours. Jaisalmer Fort could be seen from the roof top restaurant  The structure looked nice  Elephants  Crows have started to make their morning chorus  Our Hotel had a model of the fort   We finished breakfast and made arrangements at the reception to prepare our bills. continued... |

Jaisalmer Fort - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Fort is fondly called Sonar Killa. These pictures (from the web) shows why.   I wish I had the time and space available to click this beauty in this trip. But it was not to be. Jaisalmer did not get its due from our side in this trip. Jaisalmer will be visited again from my side, whenever a return trip to Rajasthan will be planned, with proper time given. Some information  Once you enter you see a big place, before you enter the main gate    Visitors parking  Some one told me this a deep well and prisoners were thrown into it  Entry to the fort    This is a protected Monument - but its conditions cries out large  The board itself shows a lot  This fort is an inhabited fort. continued... |
