Re: Conquered Ladakh in a low GC Hatchback

Guys, am back from Ladakh and it was quite an eventful journey.

Here is how I went ahead:

Day 1: Delhi - Jammu
Day 2: Jammu Srinagar
Day 3: Srinagar Kargil
Day 4: Kargil Leh
Day 5 : Local sightseeing in Leh
Day 6 : Leh Diskit
Day 7: Diskit Turtuk and back
Day 8 : Diskit Pangyong Leh - through Syok route- the road is really bad especially for a sedan
Day 9 and 10 : Stuck in Leh because of curfew in Srinagar
Day 11 : Leh to Delhi straight in 32 hours

I was in a Ciaz. Delhi Leh was with 04 adults and a Child. Leh onwards and back 02 adults. Any questions, please feel free to ask

That is a very very long drive !!
I guess the lost 2 days gave you good time to rest before the drive.

Anyways, some pics of the drive or even a complete travelogue would be nice.

Congratulations on completing the drive in your Ciaz. Just wish to know why you did not return via Manali?

As lovecars21 asked, I am also just curious about why you didn't take shorter manali route! Was it beacuse you went with a low slung sedan like Ciaz? I would appreciate if you throw some light about present situation in Srinagar and overall present road condition to the places you made through. Did you stay at Srinagar or drove past through it at night? Especially, if you have taken Agam-Shyok road, please share your current expereience from a sedan point of view. Pictures will do better justice although.
