Day 05, 11 October 2010 Bangalore
We reached Bangalore by 01:30AM on 11th October 2010, Monday. Starting at 16:30PM from Amboli we drove 590Km and reached Bangalore by 01:30AM, thanks to heavy traffic and some flyover mess near Bangalore. But it was in time to catch some sleep and attend office the same day :)
That makes it 670KM from Baga to Home through this route. Onward after the detour to Verna it was 700KM to Baga.
Please find the GPS trail for this trip.

Thus ended an impulsive trip to Goa, which was decided on Monday the the 4th October and drove out on 7th October, Thursday early morning at 03:30AM, and a return back on 11th October 2010 Monday.
But, we were booked in Poovar from 15th October 2010 Friday onwards, which means we will drive out by 14th, Thursday night, the same week :D

There are much more than what I could see in goa. For example I never tried the waterfalls in Goa. There are crocodile spotting trips. Then Big Foot, some caves, some wild life sanctuaries etc.. |

[Still left out is the wild life and waterfalls of Goa - any ways summer is not the right time for both, hence still left out - making sure a return is planned soon]. |
Well after 3 years went back to Goa exclusively for her magnificent waterfalls -
Dudh Sagar in monsoon. You can read about it here

Been back to Goa for the New Year.
After an evening witnessing sunset and some driving fun at Muzhuppilangadu Beach, Thalassery Kerala, reached Palolem, Goa to witness a beautiful sunrise.
Found a very laid back beach at Agondo, enjoyed a day sleeping on a shack in Agondo before reaching Varca for the stay for New Year.
On return visited Tamdi Surla Temple.
Will post some pictures as time permits.
Happy New Year Guys :thumbs up
Day 0
29th December 2012
Over a nice dinner at Kannur KTDC restaurant, near to Kannur Govt. Engineering college, I was thinking about the very tiring day that we have had today. I was thinking that I must get a room here at KTDC and sleep, and then drive the next day to Goa.
How I reached Kannur on 29th December 2012 for dinner is a big story in itself, but that can wait. But I will tell you guys about it some day.
After dinner I was lazing around near the car, asked my family that we will go for a drive before we stop for the night somewhere in Kannur.
It was already 21:30 hours. I just drove out and in no time the PPG's were asleep. My wifey too fell asleep in a few moments.
I was on the NH17, heading aimlessly. I had a thought - why not Goa for sunrise? Well that seemed like a plan...and drove through the night to Goa on NH17 from Kannur on 29th Night.
Day 1
30th December 2012
Around 02:30AM I reached Maravanthe. A small tea shop was still open. Stopped the car, and had a good tea in the wee hours enjoying the cold breeze from the Sea and enjoyed the calm river on the other side. After spending nearly 30 minutes and refreshed I drove towards Goa.
By 05:30AM I crossed the border near Karwar, and drove in to Goa. Headed to Palolem beach and by 06:00AM I parked the car in Palolem.
Woke up my wife and told her "Good morning, Welcome to Goa :D"
She screamed W H A A A A T :Shockked:
In the melee PPGs too woke up and was shocked!
Well that was the drive to Goa....It could not have been better than that.....
