Awesome photologue there Kaushik. Great photos. Keep em coming.

Also, post details about the amount of fuel your Swift guzzled and overall FE. Any breakdowns during the trip?

When tsunami struck in dec'04, the waves were above Thiruvallur's statue . Imagine the fury of nature.

Day 11 – 2nd December Ooty – Mysore – 125 Kms

This was going to be a short drive but since we took the Kalhatti route the start was really exciting. This route has 36 hair pin bends where one would end up descending 1,250 meters within 17 kms only. On reaching Mysore we got to know that the Mysore Zoo remains closed on Tuesdays and hence we had to skip it and visit Mysore Palace and the Brindavan Garden. Both the places were worth the visit for sure.

We could have spent more time in Mysore but since we had to reach Goa by 4th afternoon we were forced to leave early in the morning on 3rd dec.

The fountains are the musical fountains in the brindavan garden.

Even when we were in pondi the weather was real bad due to a cyclone that had hit TN in Nov 2008. People there were real scared even then, i can imagine how bad it must have been at KK during the tsunami.
