Day 6--Oct 1st--The final day We woke up after a good sleep at Hotel Pleasant Stay and set out by 9 am ---unfortunately the hotel does not serve breakfast, but can bring from the town if needed. Fortunately it was not rainiing, though cloudy.
We sought directions to Gol Gumbaz, which we located on the outskirts of the town on the highway to Jevargi. We spent a good hour at that place, as there was much to see. Believe me, that place is worth a visit. It is open from 6 am to 6 pm.
We bought tickets for entry, including the camera and explored the huge palatial grounds. The structure was much bigger than I'd expected. But after entering it, we found the graves of the Adil Shah dynasty who had got it built inside, and the huge dome was unsupported by any pillar.
To enjoy the best part of the structure, we needed to climb 7 narrow flights of steps that left us exhausted. But it was indeed worth the climb.
You get a majestic view of the town around, and inside you get a very good echo if you clap or shout---I got max 8 echos for my vigorous claps.
