Day 3, November 29th 2009 continued

Avalanche Lake

After stopping every few meters and doing a WOW on the unfolding beauty, we finally reached our cherished holiday location by 11:45AM. This is the only place we ever wanted to come back in Ooty so much after our 2006 discovery of this place. The fallen tree was still there. Kids were saying the place have not changed at all, and to me it looked more beautiful than ever.

My wife was happy to see the old tree still there.




She settles on that and enjoys the beauty around.



Kids have already jumped into the water and started playing around



And me - enjoying with my my newly acquired toy, the D90 :D

She used my old Canon Powershot A80. The young one also clicked some using Nikon Coolpix L19. I'll put up their best shots towards the end of the log :thumbs up.

Most of these were stumbled upon in 2006, and kept for a later date, which happened this year.

Emerald was a must do in this years itinery. Infact that was the motivation for this trip also. We also wanted to drive through the road we accidentally drove in 2006.

Emerald Lake and Dam

Opposite to Avalanche lake is the beautiful Emerald Lake. Walk across the bushes and you see Emerald lake :)

the Emerald Lake seems well disguised behind those woods - and also very true to its name.
