This Tiger Camp property looks enticing. I can't locate in Google map, agoda.com locates it right in the middle of Ramnagar town. Address says Dhikuli, your travelogue indicates it is on the bank of river Kosi. Do you have any coordinate or landmark?

I have already booked upstream at Corbett Riverside for October holiday. Might change booking if it will assure better stay for two families with three kids between them, aged 7 to 15.

I am traveling from Bangalore by 4WD vehicle and visiting Corbett national Park. We are 5 adults+ 2kids+ 1 driver. Only 4 dorm beds were available at Dhikala on April 7, so I booked that. I didn't get any mail post booking, but got entry permit through SMS.

Questions to team-bhp fellow members:

1. Can I take my own vehicle up to the Dhikala lodge? Hearing contradictory reports.

2. If not, can I hire safari jeep for one day only? How much? Where?

3. If for one day only, how do I return to Ramnagar the next day? Can I hire so he brings me back earliest morning?

4. I asked Ramesh Suyal, guide, Ramnagar, and he quoted me 8000 for 2 days of safari, vehicle only. Is this too much?

5. How much is guide cost?

6. My tour plan is - get to Dhikala, stay overnight, do a safari, see a tiger if possible, but if not, I am happy seeing its habitat and leaving it in mystery. What is the cheapest, most optimum way to do this? I have own vehicle, I have entry permit. I am staying one day only.

Please help!!

Need suggestion - Oct end / Nov first week holiday planning:-
1. Is Corbett National Park open? If yes, which zones are open during end-Oct/first week of Nov?
2. Which are the best zones in terms of tiger/bear sightings? How many safaris should we book normally?
3. Is there online option to book the safaris? Website would be helpful..

Thanks,

Re: Gurgaon - Jim Corbett - Ranikhet - Gurgaon: The Unsatiated Quest

Friends!

I am planning a weekend getaway to Jim Corbett NP from 21st till 23rd Oct, coming weekend. Its kind of late to post, but the plan just struck me. Can someone suggest good places to stay and which zone to visit inside the NP.

We are a group of 6-7 guys and would be traveling on Saturday morning from Gurgaon to Corbett.
