Hey,

Nice pics mate. Had done Yercaud earlier this year. Its good place to spend a weekend and as you mentioned, this can even be done in one day. But this is a ideal spot for a relaxing weekend, where there is not much to visit, but appreciate the weather and taste some good food. I, by the way, stayed in GRT Nature trails and must say would recommend it to anyone.

Yes Bro', all the places are too good and you have to soak yourself over there. The place I stayed was also wonderful and compared to any other resorts.

Telling pics-lovely roads, neat place of stay-mouth watering-Yercaud a must do!! thank you for the great write up. how does one go about booking that beautiful place you stayed at.

Did you by any chance get a glimpse of salem city in the night. Its a great view from yercaud. If you have, i am sure you will share the pics!

So from here we came back to the centre of Yercaud and visited the boat house, lake view garden and Yercaud lake

This lake is similar to Ooty lake

Ya dude. I saw and enjoyed. The camera which I have is a old one and I tried taking photos pf night also, but it didn't come well.

Looks nice! I've been to Salem soo many time but somehow never been able to hit yercaud - will try to do it for sure next time :)

Nice log!

Haven't been to Yercaud yet but those snaps of winding ghat roads covered in fog are too tempting.

Lovely pics Shishir.

Wow man. Never seen Shiva like this till now. His matted locks flowing freely and his ears almost the size of his face (a bit bigger, he'll be mistaken for Ganesha). Does this have any history to it?

As Nataraja, his locks are like this. But then the ears!

That was an wonderful view of yercaud and i would love to take a trip from Chennai can any one tell me the route to yercaud from chennai ? I think there is two routes & i am not sure about them

From chennai, you can to take

Chennai->Kanchipuram->Vellore->Krishnagiri->Dharmapuri->Thoppur->Salem->Yercaud route

Most of the route is through GQ and fully 4-laned, so will be a wonderful drive upto Salem. From salem, Yercaud is about 30 kms with scenic hairpin bends.
