Plati Alloys - 235/ 70/ R 16 stock Bridgestone tyres.
Hi, just wanted a quick suggestion from all you tbhpians out there, do let me know which colored alloy do you feel would look sporty on a red swift?
Also, do let me know if I upsize 205/55-R16's on a petrol swift, what are the issues faced? Do the tyres scrape the wheel wells? How is the ride over speed breakers and bad roads?
Please do post some quick replies...
Thanks....
205/555 R16 will scrape your arches on full load or when you go over speed breakers. 195/60 R15 is aa safe upsize. On a red swift, Either hyer silver or white or gun metal finish alloys will look good.

White is the fad! Get a fabulous design with a lot of spokes and you are in. Best of luck. You will find a lot of swifts here.
If not white got for chrome, again with an awesome design.
Or do something like this:

Lazy, that's the word for me as I snapped this Eeco about 2 weeks back at BK Tyres. First shock was alloys on a Eeco and the second one was Yokohama ES100. Great choice by those guys. |
Whats wrong with the Yokohama ES100??
people, thanks for the suggestions, i am planning to go in for the K12 swift, so i have heard that the suspension is much better.
also, i do not always drive with a full load, maximum would be 3 or 4 passengers including myself.
gold looks nice.....
white was my first option, however seeing the gold set me thinking...
let the comments and suggestions please roll in.....

I was told that the 'gold' color may not last longer and will start fading after sometime.
Please check the same with the dealer and get it verified before you buy it.

Check the specifications for the upsize with comparison to the standard size...
There is only a 2% difference overall.
I guess upto 3% is ok.
Also, except for the circumference, the rest remains same.
Guys, please advise..

Rather than going by the %, i feel it's better to identify the difference in mm. This would help you to understand the impact better.
When i did an upsize upgrade, the 5% difference came to about 40mm and ride quality was pathetic. I then had to downsizse to stock recommendation.

OK, here goes, in mm. Also, I have added one more upsize option.
Please help...

adit,
The correct sizes for comparison with the 195/60/R15 are
205/55/R15 and
205/50/R16.

Well, upsizing with stock JK 165/80 R14 must be either be with
a 185/70 R14 with the 5.5 Stock RIm & .8 difference or
fetching a 6J rim with a 195/60 R15 with .7 difference to the stock tyre
cheers
TND
what would be the correct tyre size for an alto running on 14" rims?
I'm running 175/60 R13 Yokohama A- 539's right now but i really want to put 14's on it...not that many killer rims to choose from in a 13" size. so all the help i could get would be great.
