Woowww.. Breathtaking both of them. Can you please let me know where have you sourced the rims for the Yeti? I am planning an upgrade to 17 inchers on my year old Octavia, cant dare to look at 19's due to the condition of the roads in Bombay. |

Those wheels and tyres look good. How is the handling and grip with these tyres? Isn't sidewall flex greater with this setup considering 205 is the widest size for 14x6J rims? I really am curious to know. Rather uncommon for someone to get 205 section tyres for 14 inch rims. |

Thanks a lot. I have been running these tyres on stock rims for the past one year and more than 10,000 kms. Apart from the fact that the ride quality has taken some beating there are no other problems I have faced till now.Touchwood. And yes 205 is uncommon in 14 inch but I can also tell you that the car corners like it's on rails now albeit with some body roll which is expected. The grip on offer is simply amazing as well. Sticks to tarmac like a leech :D |

I see. Well, 185 is the max width for a 5 inch rim which is the stock steel rim on the Swift/Ritz. When I got 185/70R14 Energy XM2's installed on stock steelies, the grip was good but sidewall deflection was very pronounced. But when I got 14x6J alloy rims, that flex reduced and handling became more precise. Now 205 is the max width for 6 inch rims so that's why I expected that you would experience similar behaviour with sidewall deflection. |

Okay. I should have gone for 6.5J rims but that would resulted in the wheels sticking out too much which I do not like. Hence settled for 6J. If you meant flexing by deflection, I maintain tyre pressure at a slightly higher level than I should be doing. This ensures that it doesn't flex too much under load which is a rarity. Also I believe this has kept punctures at bay. None yet. |

Yes, I meant lateral deflection. What tyre pressure do you maintain and how much has it impacted ride quality? What was the standard tyre pressure recommended for your car? For my '15 Swift, I keep the pressure recommended for stock 165 section tyres which is 33 psi. I think it should be OK for me. |

can you also pls put in the price and alloy specs? I am trying to get an idea here.!! Your car looks amazing with the new wheels though. cpics: |

I used to maintain 35 PSi on stock JK tyres I had earlier. Tyres were getting punctured a lot towards the end of their lives. I started with 33 on the Yokos which the dealer recommended. But that was a bit harsh in terms of ride quality. I now maintain 32 all round which I think is perfect. Bringing it down could improve the ride but I really don't want to take chance. And you are maintaining the right pressure for 165. But towards the end of their lives their air retaining capacity goes for a toss. So you will find yourself filling up a bit more than what you actually should. This is what happened with me. Now it's all good :thumbs up One piece of advice from me is you should consider changing the rubber to something better because the stock ones are absolutely crappy. |

Then later in Delhi when the car had done 1100 km I got a set of four alloy wheels (so no possibility of five wheel rotation anymore) by some brand called GMax. Specs are 14x6J ET+28. Yes, they stick out a bit. Handling became a little sharper as sidewall deflection reduced. 185 section tyres are the max size for 5 inch wide rims but ideal for 6 inch wide rims. |

Hey nice ride! How much did the alloys cost you and where did you get these in Delhi? |
