Etios Liva upgraded to Neo Transformer Alloys with Yokohama Earth One 185/65 R14

Not sure where to put this question so putting it here.

Does putting Tire shiners/polish frequently (once every two weeks) harms the surface of the tires or its better for them?

No it doesn't harm.

Yes its better for tyres. Keeps tyre looking good and prevents dust from clinging on easily.

No one can answer better than me; I am a sucker for shiny black tires, have been using all sorts of shiners/polishes for tires 3-4 times a week since past few years, without any issues :)

Stop being humble, you do it daily, sometimes multiple times a day.

lol: Me too. I also do it very often sometimes every weekend. I keep buying different sprays for both tires and alloys.

One thing i have noticed is that after applying these polish, tires tend to squeak a lot in my house parking which has tiles on the floors so thought hope it does not effects breaking on normal roads, hence the previous question.

I am not sure if this is the right group for my question, but here goes .. Does anyone know where I can get my alloys refurbished in Mumbai. They have some wear and tear due to 7 long years of usage so I wanted to get them refurbished but I don't want to change the color. Can anyone help?

Finally bit the bullet and swapped out the boring stock alloys for a set of Momo Revenge. Sharing the pics.

Hey Guys,

Had been itching to do this since even before i bought the car but stopped myself considering warranty issues since the general feel around about Skoda is that they can void warranty for even applying a sticker on the car . I had anyways bought the version with the very popularly troublesome DSG box which has although been absolutely trouble free for me till now (Grabbing the wood and not letting go) but I did not want to push my luck anymore. But i could not stop myself for long and the boring design of the stock puny 16 inchers with the wide gap in the wheel well that ruined the stance of the car was just irritating the s**t out of me.

So finally keeping some good faith in God and Skoda India and a lot of egging by fellow Bhpians in Bombay I took the plunge. I swapped the stock 16inch rims on my 1.4 years new 1.8 TSi Style Plus with 17inch TSW Geneva Rotary Forged rims in Matte Gunmetal paired them with 225/50 section Yokohama AdvanSports annndddd we have a monster

The stance has completely changed and the wider stance with the darker shade of the rims on the black colour of the car is making it look totally Ganstaa which is the look that i wanted for it.
