Eagle Nanking alloys

Hi folks,

Just thinking of getting a set of alloy wheels (set of 5).

Vendor is offering me Eagle Nanking Model No KS304 for Rs 12800/-. Anyone heard of this brand? Are they good?

Help me please.

- Johy

Nanking is originally a low cost Chinese tyre maker. They might have gotten into alloys now.

While respects go toward the victims, I'd buy anything from Nanking - the site of Japanese invasion in 1937 that was followed up by mass molestation by the Japanese troops of local Chinese women there and a concentration camp, with a healthy dose of caution

Never heard of them before, 12.8K for a set of 5 sounds really low, so dont know the quality. Good Alloys usually retail for about 13K upwards for a set of 4 for 13 inchers.

Advice you to find a user and take his comments before plonking you money.

Thanks guys. Do you know if they have a website?

I would have gone with Neo/Aura, but they are far too common

Any suggestions in the priceband of 13k to 15k?

Go for HR or Prestige, you should get a good set of alloys for that price range ( probably only for a set of 4) depending on your design and finish choice.

I am using Prestige ( check my gallery) bought for 14.5K for a set of 4, no problems whatsoever.

I would stay away from Nanking. My friend had put these rims on his Zing and is NOT happy at all. He is a cautious driver but 1 rim got damaged within days of the install.
I had Nanking tyres on my Lancer and they were really bad.

the name itself is in dispute. stay away from this & for the price you are paying, you can easily get good rims, but only 4, which should be good enough.

Yes Nankang

I asked about HR and Prestige as well - and vendor says they will cost about the same, for set of 5. He can get me those as well.

@ johy - are you getting the alloys from siliguri? If yes, could you please give me the vendor's contact details? My cuz is in the same region and was looking for a good vendor.
As mentioned by most, stick to HR/Prestige. They are much better products (imho) and being better selling brands, replacements won't be a problem.

Yes, I am just trying to shortlist a few -- and boy aren't they confusing.

Do you have the websites for HR and Prestige?

I will be getting them from Wheel O' City (Contact: Chetan or Ravi). Phone: (0353) 2544735. They will order the ones I need (after selecting them from catalog/brochure) if they don't have them in ready stock. I feel they are very fair with their pricing.

Have you seen aura ? there are a couple of designs for the WagonR which are pretty nice & dont cost a bomb either.

This

This

or this

I think they retail around 2.8-3.0K.

The first & second one will look great on your red wagonR.

Thanks mate, especially for taking all the pain. I have an eye on Aura too, but they are a little too common in town, so I think I will stick to HR (SaiMagwheels) or Prestige. I tend to like the bold spoke variety...but let me see...
